As a result of our commitment to become a low-carbon, circular and inclusive business, the focus on sustainability is growing rapidly and in order to secure compliance in our market facing communication, we are looking to hire a new Legal Counsel, Sustainability and Marketing Specialist to join our Global Legal & Compliance department.
You will work independently and report to our Legal Business Partner for Marketing, Collaborations & Sustainability, who sits in Copenhagen, with ensuring compliance in our market facing communication primarily focusing on sustainability claims and the legal requirements for their substantiation across our global markets.
In corporation with our global internal stakeholders including the Legal team, the Marketing and Product teams and the Communication & Sustainability teams, and under the supervision and direction of our Legal Business Partner for Marketing, Collaborations & Sustainability, your responsibilities and tasks mainly include;
- Making sure that sustainability claims and other marketing claims comply with applicable regulations and standards,
- Building basic knowledge of the compliance requirements for sustainability claims in the jewellery field in our largest markets,
- Ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements when linking greenhouse gas emissions, renewable vs. non-renewable energy, RECs, PPAs and offsets, responsible sourcing, modern slavery, human rights etc. to our business and products,
- Instructing and managing external advisors,
- Assisting in building a substantiation database for sustainability claims,
- Taking on the role of legal advisor in cross-functional Marketing & Collaboration projects,
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating marketing related contracts e.g. agency, PR, talent and licensing agreements,
- Drafting templates, Terms & Conditions, etc., and
- Providing legal advice on consumer facing platforms regarding our products and materials in general (metals, stones, packaging etc.)
Required skills and qualifications
- Law degree (candidate level)
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience with marketing law, preferably within sustainability
- Experience from a law firm, large corporation or trade organization/NGO is a plus

This is a full time position reporting to our Legal Business Partner for Marketing, Collaborations & Sustainability.
Ideally, this role is based in our Global Office in Copenhagen. For an applicant based elsewhere than Copenhagen, relocation or travelling/commuting to Copenhagen on a frequent basis may be required.
