We are expanding Milestone’s division for Legal, Compliance & Risk Management (LCRM) as our business is in constant growth and development. We are looking for candidates with solid legal skills and experience working with IT contracts and license agreements.
As Legal Counsel in Milestone you will become a part of a global legal, compliance and risk management team of in-house legal professionals providing business-focused advice to all parts of the organization. The team is mainly based in our HQ in Brøndby, Denmark and we are an integrated part of the Business Support Unit reporting to the CFO. Further, the LCRM Team acts as advisors to the management in Milestone. We collaborate with our colleagues to support our innovative and dynamic R&D activities and we participate in the business strategies in an expanding market with new market solutions.

If you join Milestone’s LCRM Team
You will meet a great variety of tasks using all aspects of your knowledge and experience to provide support advice to a wide number of stakeholders across our organization.
As our new Legal Counsel, you will support and work together with our technology department. You will play a vital role in our reaching our strategic initiatives and will be a part of project teams working with such initiatives. You will use your skills to communicate and set up operations and framework to embrace a reliability mindset to keep integrity and live the Milestone Values. You will promote that we are not only doing what is legally required, but also doing what is right for Milestone and our stakeholders as we grow.
You will support the organization by providing clear and commercially viable legal advice and you will ensure that solutions are implemented in our contract framework and thereby in the way we operate. Further, you will support and guide the organization form a legal standpoint as needed.
Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Supporting with the development and drafting of legal frameworks supporting Milestone’s technology
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of IT contracts and license agreements
- Providing commercially viable legal advice to Milestone’s technology organization
- Being a part of a dedicated legal, compliance and risk management team supporting Milestone’s ambitious strategy for expansion
To succeed in the role, you must have
- A legal academic background (Cand.Jur, Cand.merc.Jur or international equivalent)
- A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience working with IT contracts and frameworks, preferably from a well-renowned law firm or from an in-house counsel role
- Strong English language skills
- An interest in systems, processes and technical issues
- A hands on and can-do approach
- The competency to work independently with the ability to deliver results into team projects
- An eagerness to work in an international, fast-growing organization where people come first
- Experience working with GDPR is an advantage
We are looking for a person who by nature take ownership and is a responsible person with excellent communication skills. You have the ability to establish structure in an ever-changing world. You must be flexible, resilient with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels and good at taking initiatives. You are a curious person with a strong will to learn. You are good with details and accuracy but has a sense of urgency. You are a strong team player, but you also enjoy working as an individual. You possess a “can do” approach and you can prioritize a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.
