Contract Manager to support green transition, Risskov
Are you on the lookout for new opportunities and would you like to work with international clients while being situated in Denmark? If you have a desire of gaining a wide range of experience from different project types and clients, then we have a job opening that provides all of this.
To one of our projects in the western part of Jutland we´re looking for a Contract Manager that will support this and other projects during the pre-construction and construction phase to administer contracts. You will have impact on and be part of the energy transition to green power and fuels, as many of our projects are energy related.
Main tasks
You will be part of our team with international experience and will be running complex / major civil construction projects in Denmark. Most days you will work out of our office in Risskov, near Aarhus but with the requirement for travel to projects if necessary, including overnight stays.

Your profile
Preferably you possess proficient understanding and experience with Civil works (Concrete, Utilities, Earthworks, Prefabrication Elements). You have the ability and experience in anticipating and managing contractual and commercial risks to maximise / minimise impacts to a project. Your educational background could be a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Recognised qualification in a building related subject. Ideally you come with 5 - 10 years of experience in commercial/contract management in the construction industry.

Main tasks

Furthermore you will:
- Collaborate with the project team during construction phase, advising on contractual and commercial issues and the identification of any risks
- Handle Contract Administration and management for ongoing projects, reviewing Employer Instructions, Managing Early Warning Register, issuing notices and necessary Design and Programme reviews
- Prepare Project Variations and participation in project negotiations with Project Manager and Production Team
- Assist in preparing subcontracts in line with AB standard forms ensuring all necessary requirements of main contract are incorporated
- Monitor overall project progress and contract strategy in collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Director
- Review contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance with prescribed procurement requirements
- Drafting, reviewing and recommending revisions to required contractual documentation in collaboration with Project Director and in house Legal Team
- Participate in department meetings to review upcoming projects and assist with procurement strategies and tender preparation
Your profile

It´s important that you:
- Have international Contract Experience in manging Design and Build Contracts - preferrable FIDIC Yellow Book
- Possess excellent communication skills in English, with experience in drafting, negotiating and managing of high value / risk construction projects
- Preferable to be Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or actively working towards membership
- An understanding of Building Services (MEP) and Building structure (Steel, Façade, Roof) and Alternative Dispute Resolution processes
