Our legal team
As our new legal counsel in Demant you will become part of the global Group Legal & Compliance function consisting of more than 40 talented and motivated lawyers around the world, who are all dedicated to help the business succeed. The Legal team in Denmark consists of 14 highly skilled professionals who support top management, as well as all of Demant’s brands, including Oticon, Audika, Philips and EPOS.

What to expect
As legal counsel you will be close to the decision-making processes in Demant and work closely with the business. You will meet clients directly and support the Demant Group globally with your advice. You will refer to the Associate General Counsel & Head of Legal, Denmark and be situated in Smørum, Denmark.

You can look forward to a truly diverse and challenging working day, where you will encounter a variety of tasks, including:

  • Supporting different business functions and stakeholders in the Demant Group
  • Advising on capital market regulations, corporate law and financing
  • Reviewing, negotiating and drafting a broad variety of commercial contracts, including license agreements, distribution agreements, research & development agreements and NDAs
  • Sparring with the business in legal matters, including tenders, marketing claims and intellectual property rights
  • Assisting in managing the Demant Group’s corporate structure across multiple jurisdictions

When carrying out your tasks, you will work with colleagues in Finance, Operations, R&D, Marketing, subsidiaries around the world as well as external advisors. You will obtain an in-depth understanding of Demant’s business. A limited amount of travelling can be expected.

Your qualifications include that you:

  • Have a degree in law (cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent) and are well-versed in the laws of Denmark
  • Have some years of experience from either a lawfirm or as an in-house counsel
  • Have a good understanding of commercial issues and the ability to balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of legal advice
  • Are a dedicated team player and have strong interpersonal skills and a good interaction with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Have excellent English proficiency as this is the Demant Group corporate language
