If you would like to be close to decision-making in a leading C25 hearing healthcare company that aims at improving lives, and you would thrive in an informal environment working with capital market law and corporate governance, then read on.
In this new role as our Legal Advisor, you will take care of corporate governance practices and capital market law. You will become part of Executive Office & Corporate Strategy, which is the team that supports Demant’s Board of Directors as well as driving Demant’s strategic, corporate agendas in close corporation with the Executive Board.
Working close to the decision making
You will work closely together with the VP of Executive Office & Corporate Strategy to ensure sound corporate governance practices and adherence to capital market rules, including disclosure to the capital market.

You will work with legal topics while seeing them live in a practical setting where decisions are taken” says Tine Rau Schiøtt, VP of Executive Office & Corporate Strategy and continues “One of the things that makes this job interesting is the variety in tasks. It includes some essential tasks such as the annual corporate governance reporting and disclosure committee activities, while it is also from time to time needed to be involved in projects where you must take care of issues diligently within a short timeline.”

The role is anchored in the Executive Office & Corporate Strategy which is part of Demant’s Corporate Functions, which also consists of Group Legal & Compliance, Corporate Communications & Sustainability and Investor Relations. Together these teams constitute a committed group of people working on Demant’s many important corporate agendas.
You will be based at our corporate headquarters in Smørum on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
Experienced legal troubleshooter and communicator
You have a degree in law on master level, i.e., cand.jur or cand.merc.jur with good academic results. You have some years’ experience for example as an attorney or maybe you already are in a corporate setting. Ideally, you have experience in the area, alternatively you have a great interest in developing yourself within corporate governance and capital market law.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Set and follow up on procedures with regards to company disclosure.
- Oversee and drive adherence to capital market rules including compliance to insider regulation.
- Responsible for the execution of the annual general meeting, preparation and implementation of decisions.
- Ensure practices around corporate governance structures.
- Responsible for monitoring and implementing new legislation and guidelines within capital market law and corporate governance.
- Reporting on remuneration for the Executive Board.
- Support in preparation of information and decision memos to the Executive Board and Board of Directors.
