About Clinical Operations
Clinical Operations activities are anchored in the R&D organisation and play a vital part in our ambitious drug development program. We plan and execute clinical trials to produce the high-quality data documentation required to turn our pipeline of exciting new medicines into marketable products.
As a Trial Project Manager on SOUL, you will be leading a large cardiovascular outcome trial and taking on this central role in our GLP-1, CV & Outcomes area is a unique opportunity to make an impact on a large global development organisation.

The position
As a Trial Project Manager on SOUL you will assume end-to-end accountability for this large trial including more than 9.600 subjects in 33 countries. You will continuously drive the trial forward together with a big cross functional team. You have the innate ability to be an effective team lead while respectfully motivating others, delegating tasks and driving people forward. You plan effectively and ensure the trial is conducted to a high-quality standard and according to budgets while ensuring that all cross functional stakeholders communicate, coordinate and cooperate according to plan. You ensure a professional and engaged collaboration with the external stakeholders in the Data Monitoring Committee, the Global Expert Panel and the Patient Recruitment and Retention Panel. You maintain open, clear communication on goals and progress in the Trial Squad and work closely together with the Project Director in the Global Project Team.

Your success indicators also include:

  • Excellence in facilitating team collaboration and efficiency
  • Ability to maintain the helicopter view while having a deep understanding of the details
  • Risk-based mindset with identification and mitigations of issues and obstacles to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate learnings from the many pilot projects
  • Ability to drive implementation of our digital strategy
  • Accountability for budgets

The position is based in Denmark but has a global scope. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable building relationships and collaborate across borders with colleagues from different cultures.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you:

  • Hold a MSc in Natural Science with at least five years of relevant experience, or a BSc in Natural Science or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience
  • Have in-depth knowledge about clinical trial methodology and solid experience in project managing clinical trials
  • Have experience of driving and leading global trials
  • Are calm under pressure, open, inclusive, can give direction and have a quality mindset
  • Have the confidence and interest to drive changes in the way we work across skill types

You are ambitious with excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and you are a true team player. When dealing with external parties, you come across with confidence and openness, always looking for solutions that benefit both parties and position Novo Nordisk as an attractive collaborator.
