European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover the entire value chain within wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. The legal department at European Energy consists of 11 lawyers. We are an international team with a strong skill set within corporate law, construction law, real property law, M&A, finance transactions, and commercial contracts. We advise the European Energy organization about all legal and contractual aspects in relation to the development, acquisition, financing, construction, and sales of wind farms- and large-scale solar projects.
We are looking for an experienced business-minded Senior Lawyer or Head of M&A Legal (depending on seniority and experience level) who has significant experience within M&A / M&A real estate, commercial contracts, and corporate law, and who can independently handle legal processes, contract negotiations, and major transactions. The right candidate will be working with sales and acquisition processes (M&A), commercial contracts as well as company and corporate law.

Your primary areas of responsibility:
- Counseling and drafting of contracts in relation to acquisition and sale of international wind- and solar projects as well as commercial contracts in relation to our projects and the day-to-day business
- Conduct complex negotiations and handling of legal processes and transactions
- Sparring with colleagues from the legal team and the other departments about specific project-related topics, including risk assessment and risk mitigation
- Develop innovative contractual and structural solutions to mitigate risk or solve problems
Your profile:
- The right candidate has a minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience within M&A, company, and corporate law at the top level
- The position has a high element of contract drafting and in turn, the right candidate has superb contract-drafting skills
- You possess excellent English skills
- You are thorough in the execution of your work and even when you are very busy you remain calm and professional
- You work well in teams and together with people from various backgrounds
- You are pragmatic and have a good commercial understanding of when a compromise is an advantage and when to argue for the optimal solution
- You work independently and thrive with responsibility from day one
- You possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- You are motivated by handling complex transactions and legal processes and deliver commercial and valuable advice to the organization
