Lawyer with Common Law Background
Are you specialized in corporate law at the highest level, and do you want to join the fastest moving and changing business area, i.e., renewable energy? Do you want to negotiate, advise on, and draft contracts related to acquisitions, sales processes, partnerships/joint ventures, and complex commercial contracts regarding wind and solar projects globally? Then perhaps you are our new colleague.
European Energy covers all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early project development to operation and divestment of energy assets. We are 390+ employees from 30 different nationalities, and since 2004 we have installed more than 100 renewable energy projects representing a total value of more than DKK 15 billion. Currently, we have a development pipeline exceeding 17 GW and operate globally with our headquarter located in Copenhagen and offices in Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, and more to come. Our goal is to become one of the largest contributors to the global transition to a fossil-free society.
The legal department at European Energy consists of 12 lawyers. We are an international team with a solid skillset within corporate law, construction law, real property law, M&A, finance transactions, and commercial contracts. We advise the European Energy organization about all legal and contractual aspects related to development, acquisition, financing, construction, and divestment of wind- and large-scale solar projects.
We are looking for a qualified and business-minded lawyer with significant common law experience as well as corporate law experience at a high level and who can independently handle legal processes, contract negotiations, and major transactions, as well as developing, and maintaining relationships with that part of our business that operates in common law countries, in particular United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.
We offer an exciting and diverse workday in an international company, which is growing at a high pace. You will be part of a dynamic and professional environment, where you will get a central role in the machinery that makes our business model work. The role is an independent role that comes with a lot of freedom and flexibility. We offer a competitive salary package and work-life balance.
In European Energy, we value a social work environment, and we arrange many activities to socialize outside work, including various sports activities and annual company trips. We can offer relevant certifications for existing and future work projects. In addition, we have a nice canteen and a well-equipped gym in the basement.
