Verisure is seeking a talented DPO with a strong operational mindset, interest in and knowledge of GDPR and a passion for Compliance to join our growing and successful Danish business.

Over time, we have more than tripled our customer portfolio with a steadily increasing organic growth. We have currently built a team of more than 500 talented, passionate, and capable colleagues and are now expanding the team further.


This tremendous transition in a global Customer centric company has strengthened the importance of a self-driven DPO with strong business acumen and operational insight.


The DPO will be a member of a growing Danish legal team, currently consisting of two members, and will report to the Legal Director based in Glostrup in Denmark. The Danish legal team is in turn part of both a Nordic and Group Legal Team covering 16 Countries in Europe and Latin America.


The successful candidate will thrive in a fast pace, agile, international and entrepreneurial business environment and will be a key player and work closely with the teams across business functions (including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Business Development and Human Resources).


Candidate profile



The role is expected to deliver impact quickly, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to develop as the business grows. It is an exciting opportunity for a DPO and Compliance specialist to deliver value through innovative and leading-edge legal thinking, impactful regulatory advocacy, and leadership in building trust with customers and key stakeholders for sustainable business growth.


Experiences and Qualifications


  • Cand.merc.jur./Cand.jur. or relevant foreign law degree.


  • Prior relevant experience working as in-house or training at a law firm will be an asset.


  • Experience with and strong knowledge of GDPR, and Compliance. Experience within marketing law is preferred.

  • Self- driven, hands on and pro-active



  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Danish and English.



Responsibilities include


Advising in a wide range of GDPR and Compliance areas across the business with focus on following:


  • Set the privacy direction and strategy for Denmark


  • Identify key focus risk areas


  • Design, implement and monitor GDPR and compliance programs and processes


  • Management of Data-processing agreements and audits


  • Handling Data protection agency cases, Data breaches and SARS


  • Art 30 and one trust operation



  • Monitor key regulatory and legal trends relevant for the business



  • Planning, implementing, and conducting compliance Training to the business units


  • Draft and maintain privacy policies


  • Support on product compliance and product launches related to GDPR


  • Participate and coordinate compliance meetings and compliance network


  • Partner with Nordic privacy team


  • Ad hoc matters related to GDPR and compliance
