BUSINESS-ORIENTED SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL
Would you like to work as a lawyer/legal counsel in an exciting IT company that specializes in IT services for financial institution? Are you motivated by providing value-creating and business-oriented legal advice internally in the organization and in close cooperation with your colleagues in the business units?
You now have the chance to become part of our Legal & Compliance team, where we work with a wide range of tasks within IT-law, contract law, outsourcing and GDPR.
Challenging tasks and high professionalism
This is an exciting position with a wide range of different tasks and with a large focus on the preparation and negotiation of IT contracts and advice on the regulatory framework applicable to us a shared datacenter.
We are legal advisors to the entire organization, and you will have the opportunity for exciting and varied tasks where you will develop as both specialist in IT contracts and generalist in relation to many other legal areas.
You enjoy working in a flexible and dynamic environment and you are able to prioritize and focus on the details where needed. You like to collaborate with colleagues in the business units and are skilled at communicating legal matters in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
About you
Your key tasks
Our team
We are a team of 10 people in total (- including you) and are divided into a Legal Team and a Compliance Team.
The Legal Team consists of five people and handles all legal issues relevant for SDC (excluding HR), such as contracts, company law, trademarks etc. You will be part of the Legal team.
The Compliance Team also consists of five people and handles GDPR, IT and security compliance as well as IT Risk Management.
The two teams works closely together and acts as one team in many aspects in our daily work.

About you
- You have a degree in law (cand.jur) or commercial law (cand.merc.jur).
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience practicing as an in-house counsel or as an attorney
- Solid experience in contract law and contract negotiations
- Experience with IT law, complex IT contracts, SaaS and/or cloud solutions will be an asset
- Knowledge of the outsourcing regulation and similar regulatory requirements for financial institutions will also be an asset.
- Strong analytical skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to find pragmatic solutions and balancing the need of the business without compromising high quality of legal advice.
- Team player with good communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing
Your key tasks
- Drafting and negotiation of IT-contracts, including outsourcing agreements, SaaS-agreements and license agreements
- Maintain and updating our contract templates, guidelines etc to ensure that these are updated with the development in both regulatory requirements, technical solutions and market standards.
- Providing legal advice to business units and act as business partner
- Advising on legislation and regulatory requirement applicable to SDC
- Participating in internal workshops and training sessions
