Become an expert in paint formulation and testing

You can look forward to becoming proficient in an area where nothing is reduced to black or white. We work with a large amount of raw materials and formulations, which provides almost endless combination possibilities. You will be involved in the entire development process; from scoping to production and analysis of samples and on to testing and approval. At the same time, you have optimal facilities in our only 5 year old state of the art laboratory that is located in our headquarters in Rødovre.

Your tasks will include:

• Leading development projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as product managers, procurement and production managers, suppliers and other partners
• Being active in networking in relation to staying updated about new raw materials/technologies and processes that enables the creation of new innovative products
• Developing new products and technologies that support long-term product roadmaps and the strategy "Going Green"
• Maintaining current products and take responsibility for making the necessary changes to documentation and formulations
• Leading and organizing the work of 1-2 Laboratory Technicians in relation to their daily work at the laboratory. From time to time, you must also expect to take part in the laboratory tasks yourself
• Improving development processes and activities, as well as implementing adjustments based on observed challenges with products
• Proactively sharing relevant knowledge with the team

Your palette

Our new colleague is a trained Chemical Engineer or Chemist who has experience in coatings or related chemical areas within polymer technology, where work has been done on the development of chemical formulations with specific functionality. In-depth knowledge of Office365, Excel and Access in particular, is a prerequisite. Furthermore, you must be experienced in the methods of de-sign of experiments. Being up-to-date on the technological development within raw materials used in the coatings industry is an advantage.

We envision someone who is positive, motivated and result-oriented, who brings these qualities into play and makes a positive impact in their interaction with rest of the team. To you, seeking out knowledge and establishing fruitful working relations with suppliers or universities is second nature. You take ownership and run projects diligently and involve relevant stakeholders across departments to ensure efficiency and quality in the product development projects.

You have a knack for organizing and planning and have an analytical approach to problem-solving. You approach colleagues and tasks with open-mindedness and curiosity, and you understand how to motivate others to contribute to the solution.

The position is located at our head office in Rødovre with direct reference to the Head of Research & Development.
