Senior IPR Counsellor - European Patent Attorney

Meet your new team

In Radiometer the IP team is a part of the Legal Department and currently consists of 3 colleagues and the Director, IPR, Audur Sverrisdottir, who is based in the HQ in Copenhagen/Brønshøj. You will be the 4th member of the team that supports the business units on a global level. The IP team is responsible for a large variety of tasks, ranging from patent prosecution, filing of new applications, educating on IP as well as supporting the business with strategic IP work. You will also be interacting with other sister companies within the corporate structure of Danaher where we are able to learn from each other.

You can expect to take the IP lead of your own product area in our core business within Blood Gas Devices and projects related to future technology.

As we are a small team with an important agenda, we rely on your engagement and commitment in cross-functional discussions ensuring the awareness of IP in Radiometer. You help R&D, our commercial functions and our clinical team understand the technology and competitive landscape contributing to the direction of our future R&D.

Radiometer’s portfolio includes a wide range of technologies with a large pipeline, which means you provide input to a broad product group and technology.

Responsibilities summed up

• Secure freedom-to-operate and protection for new developments within the Blood Gas area
• Plan and sustain IP Strategies for Blood Gas New Product Development/New Technology Development projects
• Responsible for IP competitive intelligence. Proactively understand need, execute search and communicate results and impact
• Educate on IP and increase IP awareness in Radiometer

Qualifications

We expect you to live up to the top 3 bullet points and those below are considered nice to have:

• M.Sc. or PhD within chemistry, preferably electrochemistry
• European Patent Attorney
• Fluency in English
• Advanced communication skills
• Industry experience

The job takes you travelling up to 10% of your time.
