We are looking for a talented Senior Process Engineer experienced within the field of process engineering, design & project work to strengthening our global Edible Oil organization.

Business Unit Food Systems is a truly global support organization committed to deliver professional project management and engineering within a wide range of applications and industries. We have employees in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, US, China, India, Malaysia, etc.

The job

As our future Senior Process Engineer in the BU Food Systems, Edible Oil Systems you are experienced within design of large process plants and used to work in projects having tight deadlines.

Key tasks

• Together with the Business Unit generate mass and energy balance, main equipment list, specification of equipment, P&ID´s & functional descriptions for appointed projects
• Together with the project manager and lead engineers organize and execute the engineering activities for appointed projects
• Participate in external meetings with customers to discuss/clarify process issues and engineering activities
• Drive improvement of technical solutions and secure best technology and learning is implemented into our engineering work and process design to the benefit of our customers
• Participate in performance tests and drive trouble shooting for appointed projects
• Daily coordinate engineering activity with our office in Pune, India, and Richmond USA
• Assist in our global engineering coordination activities with other Alfa Laval sites.

The job is based in Copenhagen, but 20-30 yearly travel days must be expected.

What you know

You hold a degree in Chemical engineering or similar and several years’ experience with process design (preferable from Food, Petro Chemical industry).

You have experience with project work and English skills at negotiation level (written and verbal).

You have an open and active approach to communication and cooperation and can establish and keep relationships with project members and customers based on trust and respect.

You are internationally oriented with good cross-cultural understanding.
