The preparations for one of the most exciting projects in Denmark; “Copenhagen Future Rail Network” are already starting now, and you can have a crucial role in making the foundational decisions such as; requirements specification on trains, customer journeys, technology, and obtaining offers from strategically important international suppliers.

The Copenhagen Future Rail Network
The train is the future, but the future is not waiting for the train. Therefore, DSB is investing to ensure the Danes an environmentally friendly and attractive alternative to cars, buses, and aircraft. The Copenhagen Future Rail Network must promote growth and mobility in the metropolitan area and continue to contribute to a climate-friendly urban environment.

Over the coming years, the Greater Copenhagen S-train Network will be transformed from a traditional urban railway into the largest fully automated driverless transport system in the world. It is a major change to our 90-year-old railway, and it must all succeed without affecting the 375,000 times a day our customers choose to take a S-train

About the job
You will be responsible for the overall system design and future automated system. In addition to leading the design work, you must coordinate design between system architecture, trains, track installations, communications, traffic centers, and critical work processes. You, therefore, become a central focal point of the program, which spans very broadly and demand the ability to shift focus and level of abstraction. We also expect you to be an expert in preparation of analyzes and decision-making proposals including the requirements specifications and evaluation of supplier input.

As our new System Engineer Manager, you will also be responsible for creating the governing role of Systems Engineer in the "Copenhagen Future Rail Network" Program. This includes leading the work of the project in terms of overall system design, defining and describing the system architecture for the both the fully automated infrastructure and trains. Furthermore, it will also be your responsibility to ensure that all interfaces are identified and described including the preparation of the interface manual for applications of interface management in "Copenhagen Future Rail Network".

Other specific tasks

• Responsibility for producing documents for requirements management, RAM, testing, and other cross-disciplinary disciplines
• Define and describe risks and potential barriers
• Collaborate with PMO and contribute to an effective division of responsibilities between PMO and Systems Design
• Cooperation with relevant parties in Banedanmark and external suppliers
• Be a part of the process of defining a system that can be security approved by TBBS
  

The "Copenhagen Future Rail Network" is staffed partly by internal DSB resources and partly by consultants. The way of working is informal in close collaboration with talented and committed colleagues.

Your professional skills
As a person, you are motivated and passionate about your profession. At the same time, you enjoy change and a variety of different work tasks and you work well with different professions and disciplines. In addition, you are good at planning and prioritizing.

You have a technical education background with solid business experience from the rail or transport sector, where you have worked on automation projects.

In addition, you have specific experience with the following

• Technical system architecture
• Requirement formulation and interface handling
• RAM implementation and E application of IT tools to manage requirements, RAM and interfaces
• Managing transversal technical activities in complex projects
• Building the Systems Design group for complex projects
• Transverse test activities
• Experience with the CSM-RA Regulation
• International experience in carrying out large rail or transport projects is an advantage but not a requirement
