This position is to strengthen Teknos Group’s Environmental team in its mission to support Teknos’ strategy of fast and profitable growth. In this position, you will report to Group Environmental Manager. The preferred location for this position is Vamdrup, Denmark.
Teknos has a portfolio of biocidal products that are subject to authorisation in EU and regulated and/or restricted in other countries. Teknos is also a user of substances having biocidal activity for disinfection, film preservation and on-can preservation, substances that are regulated heavily in many countries.
To maintain our existing biocidal authorisations and prepare dossiers for new ones, and to help Teknos navigate in the global ever-changing regulation of biocidal substances and products, we seek a Group Biocide Specialist.

The most important daily tasks and responsibilities
- Is responsible for maintaining our biocidal product authorisations
- Is responsible for the submission of any new biocidal product applications and amendments/changes
- Makes HH and ENV risk assessments plus ED assessments according to biocidal product regulations and REACH regulation
- Keeps record on our use of active biocidal substances/raw materials including e.g. disinfectants, in-can and film preservatives
- Is working closely with R&D globally and locally on projects concerning biocide regulatory issues
- Is the super user of R4BP and IUCLID
- Understands and monitors the biocidal product regulations and impact
Desired skills and qualifications
- You have thorough knowledge of biocide regulations globally and European biocides regulation, in particular product types 8 (wood preservatives), 6 (in can), 7 (film protection) and 2 (disinfectants).
- You are experienced in the IT tools used in Europe e.g. R4BP and IUCLID.
- You have experience with risk assessment of exposure to chemicals.
- You have an ability to work both independently and in cooperation with other specialists.
- We expect you to have a good level of communication, problem solving capability, project work experience.
- To succeed in this global position, you need to be fluent in English.
- Preferably you have +3 years proven experience of working with biocides regulation in e.g. industrial environment, consultancy or competent authority.
- A suitable educational background for this position is M.Sc. in Biology, Chemistry or similar.
