Can you lead and develop a scientifically diverse department of dedicated, empowered people?
As Senior Manager of Primary Pack and Formulation Support, Pharmaceutical Product Support, you will be the head of a department responsible for scientific support and manufacturing troubleshooting within formulation science for marketed small molecule and biopharmaceutical products and securing that LEO Pharma adheres to Primary Packaging requirements for development and marketed products.
You will head up a department of 13 highly skilled persons constituted by eight Formulation Scientists and five Primary Pack Scientists. The department supports a broad range of Life Cycle Management and development activities counting technical transfers for drug products, OOS resolution and reporting, CMO/CRO contact and coordination, Q&A for Health Authorities and project management of Life Cycle Management activities for marketed products amongst the main activities. A part of the job is to secure that the department supports colleagues in LEO Pharma during Health Authority and Partner inspections and live up to current GMP regulations.
Your new department is one of three departments in Pharmaceutical Product Support, Global Development, R&D. Pharmaceutical Product Support employs app. 50 persons and is responsible for CMC LCM activities for all LEO Pharma marketed products, Module 3 and 2 MA maintenance, support to Global Product Supply manufacturing and QC laboratories and scientific input for projects in the development portfolio. We have a focus on Continuous Improvements and securing transparency and efficiency in an exciting and complex organisation. As a Senior Manager for Primary Pack and Formulation Support you will join a well-functioning leader team with two Sr. Manager colleagues and you will report directly to the Director of Pharmaceutical Product Support.

A part of the job is representation of Pharmaceutical Product Support in LCM Teams and in cross-organisational steering groups.

You have a university degree within natural sciences (Master Degree or Ph.D in e.g. Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Engineering or equivalent) You have 5+ years of managerial experience from leadership positions You have 5+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry in CMC related areas, e.g. CMC development, manufacturing or analytical departments A solid understanding of GMP regulations, formulation science, general material and primary pack understanding, knowledge of analytical methods for marketed products, statistics, OOS resolutions, technical transfer processes and experience from interactions with regulatory authorities including inspections 3+ years of experience with LEAN in a non-manufacturing area Since you will have stakeholders at multiple international manufacturing sites and at CMOs, cultural understanding and experience from international collaborations is considered an advantage You have the ability to handle multiple tasks with fixed deadlines at the same time, the ability to focus, stay calm and keep overview for yourself and your organization in busy times Strong collaboration skills and experience from working in cross functional teams Strong proficiency in written and spoken English Ability to travel up to 4 weeks per year
