Biopharmaceutical Product early phase analysis
Your overall focus will be screening, characterization and analysis of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs)in close collaboration with formulation and analytical scientists to support our early phase lab activities. You will be responsible for sample preparation, developing analytical methods, maintaining analytical equipment, write analytical procedures, , data analysis of your own experiments and documenting the data and results in ELN . You will be working with the team to deliver high quality results for the projects in early phase development, and you will also work with colleagues from the bioprocess department.
Your primary tasks will be:
As we are breaking new ground and are part of an R&D organisation, no two days are alike. As such, you must be able to thrive in a dynamic R&D environment and have the drive and entrepreneurial spirit to move things ahead.
+3 years’ experience within biopharmaceutical product analysis
You have an education as Laboratory Technician or similar with at least 3 years’ experience in protein analysis and characterization. Your career has provided you with hands-on experience within development of analytical methods for mAbs or other proteins as well as with experience with solving day-to-day tasks within the laboratory. You have worked with and have an interest for new technologies in the analytical area and have a flair for equipment and problem solving.
You are curious by nature and like to try new things, methods, processes etc. You combine strong bench skills with a good sense for documentation to ensure the right quality in your deliverables. As you will work together with multiple people across the LEO organisation, good collaboration skills are of great importance.
Biopharmaceutical Products – your new department
Your will join a team of eight (today) skilled colleagues covering early phase biopharmaceutical competencies. We are a growing team, and our focus is to support selection of stable mAbs and development of stabilizing formulations for LEO Pharma’s portfolio of biologics. We aim to establish an innovation culture characterised by openness, plenty of room for new ideas, mutual respect and helpfulness – while not forgetting to have a good time together. The department is part of Biologics & Early Development consisting of 55+ highly skilled and dedicated colleagues striving to deliver high quality science to progress our Research and Development projects and to deliver innovative products to patients.
We are here to take ownership, drive, and secure that scientific questions are both raised and answered within Biologics. We are driven by a high level of integrity, science, passion for our work and an open minded, collaborative approach.
The position is placed in the LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup.

Biopharmaceutical Product early phase analysis

Your primary tasks will be:
- Protein analyses by CIEX, CIEF, SEC, SEC-MALS, CE-SDS and DLS . Additional analyses including SVP analyses might be part of our analytical toolbox the coming years
- Method development and forced degradation studies
- Handling of large number of protein samples for screening studies and developability assessment of mAb candidate
- Setting up and conducting protein stability studies including several analytical methods
- Maintain a balance between experimental work and solid documentation of work and data
- Take part in troubleshooting using the joined analytical knowledge of the early phase group.
