The team for you to join

At Chr. Hansen we are looking for a dedicated and ambitious senior laboratory technician to join our Fresh Dairy Global Application department. The vacant position is in our Project & Competences team based in Hørsholm. The team consists of 8 scientists and 9 technicians based in two Chr. Hansen sites, one in Hørsholm and one in France (Arpajon, near Paris). We are an international team and work in a dynamic, informal and positive atmosphere in modern office and laboratory facilities.

We develop bacterial and enzymatic solutions for the dairy industry in close collaboration with the R&D teams at Chr. Hansen and our customers. We specialize in supporting and guiding our customers in using our solutions to produce tasty and innovative fermented milk products sold worldwide.

What would your role look like?

Your role entails a job focussing on dairy and microbiology with assignments solved in close collaboration with the other laboratory technicians and scientists in the department as well as in project teams across several departments.

You will primarily be working on the following type of tasks:

• Production of fermented milk products in our laboratories and pilot plant facilities
• Analyses of fermented milk products in relation to microbiology, pH, texture, chemical composition etc.
• Planning, executing, reporting and concluding on analyses made in the laboratory in collaboration with the relevant scientist
• Development of new methods and procedures in collaboration with the relevant scientist
• Have responsibility of specific analytical instruments relevant for analysis of fermented milk products

Who are we looking for?

You are educated as Technician (in Danish, laborant or tekniker) or have a bachelor in dairy as well as few years’ experience as laboratory technician, dairy- or food technologist. You have a passion for microbiology and food production. Optimally, you have experience with food production preferably with the use of bacterial cultures and enzymes. You can work independently and take initiatives while still being a team player ready to give a helping hand. You are open-minded and thrive working with colleagues with different cultural and professional backgrounds. You master English both written and oral.
