Do you want to be a part of Novo Nordisk and join us in our effort to build on our position as one of the most innovative and successful pharma companies? Would you like to be part of supporting the manufacturing process by increasing stability and creating optimisations that ensure that we can always produce quality products at a competitive cost?

If so, we can offer you an exciting, ever-changing and methodically challenging job, where your competencies will be extremely valuable in ensuring that we reach our ambitious goals, and where you can expect ample opportunity for personal and professional development.

About the department
You will be part of IM1 Business Support, supporting the two production lines where our established products are manufactured, and where we also produce the clinical trial products that are used to develop the market and treatment options. In the entire department, you will have about 60 colleagues, and in the team you will be joining – Quality, Archiving and LEAN – you will be collaborating with three quality coordinators, 4 archives colleagues, and two LEAN experts like yourself.

The position
We offer an exciting position with great task and stakeholder diversity. One of the major tasks right now is to establish a VSM current state of the entire plant. Here, it is the responsibility of the LEAN organisation to structure and drive the process forward. You will be working closely with managers and colleagues across the organisation in mapping the value streams and ensure that the end result is a valid 1:1 image of how the processes are done. This will constitute the foundation for future improvement initiatives.

Adding to this, you will become a resource for the LEAN training structure, education future LEAN experts and other colleagues in training. Sometimes, complex cases from the production will demand your expertise in facilitating problem solving or optimisation processes.

Your ability to collaborate with many different stakeholders will ensure your success. Here, your profound grasp of the five LEAN principles and your ability to observe the daily operation and identify opportunities will inspire your crisp and challenging input to the way we normally do things.

In parallel, you employ your collaborational skills in the LEAN group, because you know that team success is critical to personal success. You actively contribute with lucid observations and reflections, to add your take to our curiousity-driven learning environment. In the LEAN group, you will have the opportunity to drive larger LEAN projects and tasks, supporting the overall site strategy.

Your tasks will mainly be at shop floor level, where you will meet your collaboration partners to understand the operational reality, they are part of, and to assist them in developing processes and work flows. The rest of the time, your department desk will be the place where you connect all the dots and conduct your follow-up-tasks.

The position is limited to a two-year employment.

Qualifications

You have a heavy LEAN background, with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably from pharma or another regulated industry. We expect your LEAN competencies to be both broad and deep, encompassing e.g. visual management, problem solving, kaizen and process confirmation. It will be an advantage if you already know a lot about what it is like to work with LEAN in a production environment.

You are motivated by well-argued and sensible change, and you always see the opportunities before the limitations; you are especially good at joining theory and pragmatic solutions into logical flows. Independence is a prerequisite, but you also need to be able to collaborate and build trustful relations across geographic, professional and cultural distances.

Because of your LEAN expertise and your background, you will probably be stronger academically founded than some of your collaboration partners. It is therefore essential that you find the right balance between coaching/training and delivery needs.
