Lem St
Do you hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering and do you have three-five years of experience with composite processing/manufacturing? And are you attracted by an international environment with a high level of activities?
Right now, we are looking for a Process Engineer who will become part of our team of engineers and technicians, who are responsible for manufacturing process optimisation in relation to our assembly processes.
Manufacturing & Global Procurement/Blades/Webs & Assembly
Operational Support is a part of VP area Launch & Execution and our main responsibilities is to support our blade factories to secure flawless execution of their operations.
The department is highly interlinked with VBIC (Vestas Blades Introduction Center) where the new products are developed and then handed over to first receiving factories.
The team is further having the responsibility to drive process optimisation in terms of cycle time, Bill of materials (BoM) and troubleshooting when problems occur in our factories in order to ensure they can deliver the products.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Set safety as first priority, hereby in line with HS&E policy
- Be capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tool, e.g. 6 Sigma (preferly you hold a Green Belt)
- Take part in creating PRS - Process Requirement Specifications with respect for materials and design selected in combination with other stakeholders
- Optimise material consumption, processing time and cost in collaboration with our cross functional commodity teams
- Maintain and develop Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) based on Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA)
- Engineering Change Management (ECM) - Case handing in relation to the above topics and secure controlled implementation
- Have close contact and anchor point with all Blade factories to be able to support and deliver as agreed
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (preferably chemical, production, mechanical, marine or aerospace), either Bachelor or Master level
- 3-5 years of experience with Composite Manufacturing from industry
- Certified in to Lean & Six Sigma (preferred Green belt DMAIC) or
- High degree of experience with Experimental design / Multivariable data analysis from planning and up till treatment of statistical data and tolerance analysis
- Experience with thermoset resin systems such as Epoxy and Polyurethane chemistry
- Experience with running optimisation and process development projects in manufacturing environments
Competencies
- Capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tool, e.g. 6 Sigma
- Capable of driving/ technical projects cross departments and cultures
- Experienced in making risk assessment by using relevant FMEA tools
- Innovation from own work as well as from teamwork including external stakeholders
- Ability to work with complex solution covering tools, processes and materials
- Strong documentation and specification skills
- Ambitious and collaborative mindset towards stakeholders
- Extrovert and strong communication skills
- Thrives in an international and multi-cultural environment.
