About us
Clinical Microbiomics is a fast-growing entrepreneurial contract research organization consisting of four companies: Clinical Microbiomics, CosmosID, DNASense and MS-Omics.
We are looking for a data scientist for MS-Omics - a leading metabolomics provider. MS-Omics combines first-class analytical and data processing services to provide a broad range of metabolomics platforms that support Life Science research. Our mission is to aid our customers in gaining a deeper insight into the underlying mechanisms of their studies.
Who are we looking for?
As an ideal candidate you have a background as an analytical scientist with a flair for programming and data processing, or you are e.g. a bioinformatician, who has previously worked with LC-HRMS/MS data.

On a personal level, you must be able to work independently and display a high-quality mindset. Our customers are often scientists from other scientific disciplines working on a diversity of different projects so good communication skills are required for the position. We expect that you truly enjoy working with metabolomics.
It is important that you are a team player and enjoy interacting with colleagues and customers. You have great problem-solving abilities, understand the advantages of mutual respect, have a positive mindset, and like to have a good laugh.
Job description
Your main responsibility is data processing turning data output from our instruments into high-quality peak tables. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for a variety of different tasks:
You will work in close contact with our skilled analytical chemists, and report to Lea G. Johnsen, SVP metabolomics.
Our metabolomics team is in Vedbæk, just north of Copenhagen, and this will be your primary work location. However, as we are part of the Clinical Microbiomics company you will have the opportunity to also work with our colleagues at Østerbro in Copenhagen.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile and qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- A relevant PhD or min three years of relevant work experience.
- A wish for working collaboratively in a small team.
- Experience within metabolomics or non-target screening of small molecules.
- Experience with chromatographic data originating from LC-HRMS/MS.
Experience within some of the following fields would be an advantage:
- Chemometrics or statistics.
- System biology.
- Laboratory work or detailed insight into laboratory workflows.
- One or more of these software tools: MetaboScape, Compound Discoverer, GNPS, MATLAB, R, Python, or databases.
- Working in GxP regulated environments.

- Management of client projects.
- Development and implementation of new pipelines.
- Scientific guidance of clients.
You will work in close contact with our skilled analytical chemists, and report to Lea G. Johnsen, SVP metabolomics.
Our metabolomics team is in Vedbæk, just north of Copenhagen, and this will be your primary work location. However, as we are part of the Clinical Microbiomics company you will have the opportunity to also work with our colleagues at Østerbro in Copenhagen.
