As our skilled chef is pursuing other challenges, we are looking for a new chef.
Le Port is an old, family-owned restaurant that goes back to 1976. The restaurant is beautifully located, overlooking the Baltic Sea and often with the most beautiful sunsets.
We cherish being part of the local community, as well as sustainability, animal welfare and ecology. We want to give our guests a complete experience, in which our cuisine, service and exquisite views come together in perfect harmony.
Even though Le Port has many years behind it, and cherishes the classical virtues, it is also important that we are constantly evolving and do not become stuck in time. We are open to good ideas that improve workflows and the product.
We use the best local ingredients – from our own kitchen garden and the local countryside. Together with the head chef, you will have the opportunity to develop our menus, which are constantly evolving and change every two weeks.
You will spend most of your time cooking a la carte dishes.
We prepare everything from scratch (we are so old-fashioned that we even make our own stock) and change the menu every two weeks.
You'll enjoy working with great colleagues, with good working conditions
You will be part of a close-knit team, and you will soon get to know your colleagues, both those in the kitchen and those working front-of-house.
If you do not live on Bornholm, there is a room ready for you with a TV, fridge and fantastic views.
The position is covered by a collective agreement. You may be offered overtime, but it will be up to you whether or not to accept it. You will of course be paid for all the hours you work. The basic salary is approx. DKK 28.000 + pension
This is a seasonal position, running from 29 April to the end of September. In other words, you’ll have the chance to experience the island of Bornholm at its most beautiful. In your time off you’ll be free to enjoy summer life and the beautiful island's countryside. You can try abseiling or mountain biking close to the restaurant.

- You are a trained chef, so that you are qualified to teach apprentices.
- You may be newly qualified or experienced. The most important thing is that you love cooking high-quality food at a high pace, can take responsibility and are creative.
- You need to speak either Danish or English.
- You must be able to contribute to a good working atmosphere.
