depanneur is a beverage label and unique convenience store with a love for our neighborhood. In our store we serve up bagels, pizzas, beers, coffee, snacks, wine and much more. Our food is all homemade using only the best ingredients sourced from local producers. We aspire to bring a unique concept and service experience to our customers every day and through our many collaborations and concepts like “One Dollar Oyster Club” we make sure to always bring something surprising to the table.
We are looking for just the right candidate that has a proven resume as a skilled chef. You either have the right attitude and natural flair for managing a small team of kitchen staff or you have already held a position as sous chef or head chef. For us, the right attitude is everything and it’s crucial for us that you bring passion about food quality and are eager to help us develop our menus and food offering in the spirit of depanneur. You will have full operational responsibility for the kitchen and lead a small but great team of assistants. You will not be alone as you will manage and work closely together with our Retail and Restaurant Manager as well as with our Evening Manager to ensure that daily operations run smoothly.

Some of your responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all operations related to baking bagels (don’t worry we will teach you how to bake bagels) and preparing the toppings/content of the bagels (homemade braised beef, Porchetta, veggies options etc.)
- Plan and prepare other food offerings like soups, salads, pastries and more with the rest to the team
- Ongoing development of the menu in collaboration with the Retail & Restaurant Manager
- Continuously maintain a close eye on kitchen percentages and reduction of waste
- Ongoing recruitment and training of kitchen staff as well as managing the weekly and monthly working schedules
- Work with our pizza baker (night time menu) to support him in the best possible way
- Weekly administration work related to ordering food from our food vendors
- Make sure that the kitchen is always looking it’s best and that all health and food regulations/guidelines are followed
The basics:
- Full time, great working hours from early morning to early afternoon (very limited night-time work)
- Start as soon as possible, interviews will be scheduled ongoing
- Located in Nørrebro Copenhagen, Denmark
- Salary based on experience
