Experienced cook for hot cuisine wanted for Japanese restaurant.
You must be able to speak and understand English fluently.
You must have a thorough knowledge of and a lot of experience in preparing Japanese food, including Izakaya dishes.
You must be able to work independently.
As we are sometimes very busy, you must be able to work under pressure and maintain an overview in stressful situations.
You have to operate 3 fryers (1 for gluten-free food, 1 for vegan food and 1 for the rest), 3 Konro yakitori grills (1 for meat, 1 for fish and 1 for vegan food), 1 induction wok (for making udon noodle dishes) as well as 1 induction hob (to fry gyoza, tuna tataki etc.), micro oven (to heat edamame beans) and an electric kettle to heat water for our miso soups.
The work consists of making and preparing food from scratch, and later preparing and arranging the food. You must be responsible for making, for example, spring rolls, Karaage, tonkatsu, Ahi tuna poke, dressings/sauces from our recipes.
In addition to cooking, you must also have a sense of order and hygiene. We are extremely concerned that our kitchen always appears clean, neat and orderly. You must therefore be able to keep your workstation clean on an ongoing basis. After service, you must also take part in cleaning the entire kitchen. Staff toilets and changing rooms are cleaned on a rotating basis, i.e. once a week it will be you who is responsible for it.
Other ad hoc tasks are to be expected.
Gross monthly salary (before taxes): DKR 33,000 including employer-paid pension.
Weekly working hours: 40 hours + breaks.
