Ballard Power Systems Europe can trace its roots back to 2004 in Skive when what would later become Ballard Power Systems Europe was separated into a division of a local business specialising in energy-efficient quality products for heating, cooling and ventilation. In 2010, half of the company was acquired by Ballard Power Systems, a Canadian enterprise, which took over the rest of the business in 2016.
Ballard Power Systems Europe is an international organisation headquartered in Hobro. The headquarter employs approximately 170 highly committed people with 12 different national backgrounds. Can you communicate technological knowledge to all levels?
As Technical Writer at Ballard Power Systems Europe, you will become part of a strong team consisting of five employees working with technical customer care at the headquarter in Hobro. You will work individually as Technical Writer with reference to the Technical Care Manager however your most important task will be to collaborate with internal stakeholders to write, edit, review and proofread procedural technical information for audiences with different levels of technical skills. Usability is the key to success and your main focus will be to streamline the technical knowledge across the organization.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with Paligo or a similar program. Furthermore, will experience in creating infographics such as; Technical Data Sheets, diagrams, graphs etc. also be a plus.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as; Product Managers, Marketing, Training Academy & Technicians to collect and maintain worldclass documentation for; User Manuals, Service Manuals, Bulletins & Retrofits for all verticals.
- Write, format, edit, review and proof procedural technical information for technical & non-technical users
- Assist in planning, scheduling and tracking documentation work, to meet new update release dates and customer deliverables
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability
- Maintain a library of service manuals, user manuals, service bulletins and retrofits documentation, cataloging it for internal and/or external use
- Assist in the development of technical drawings for all verticals
Who are you?
- You possess a minimum of two years of experience from a similar position
- You have a bachelor´s degree, preferably in communication and/or with a technical approach
- You are fluent in English including written, verbal and presentation
- You have an excellent attention to details and the ability to prioritize the work among multiple projects
- You are proactive and openminded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results
- You thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- You are thorough and good at asking the right questions
