As the Events Manager you will be part of the Corporate Communication team and be responsible for the planning, project management, delivery and review of Canon UK & Ireland's experiential calendar, including tradeshows, sponsorship activations, launch events, conferences and incentive trips. You will also be responsible for the coordination and activation of pan-European Live Communication projects for the UK & Ireland market.

As the Events Manager you will:
- Support Business Units with compiling an insight led experiential brief that aligns to the current business unit marketing strategy and experiential principles.
- Overall budget management responsibility (budget tracker owner) including raising of appropriate purchase orders, always looking for areas of cost savings and efficiency
- Chair regular operational meetings to support the alignment with other key marketing teams including content production/digital/social/PR/CRM
- Lead the delivery of the production schedule, staffing plan, on-site services booking (catering/security/cleaning etc.) and on-site operations manual
- Communicate event overview (slide deck) to all stakeholders prior to going on-site to set expectations and increase awareness
- Approve on-site high-level branding/signage, technical production and monitor health & safety during event
- Collate and distribute review document including results against agreed KPI targets and key learnings for future
- Management of local hospitality and sponsorship programmes and activation of the central programme including hospitality and ticket management of ad hoc events
- Identify process efficiencies within projects to improve delivery time and costs
As the Live Events Manager you will possess the following skills and expertise;
- Great people skills and first-class client service skills
- Agency experience and a strong track record of running global/regional live events or retail design and content delivery projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to manage multiple assignments
- Exceptional budget control
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capability with senior levels
- Willing to work outside normal working hours when required
- Consumer Electronics experience is an advantage
- Highly numerate with proven analytic skills
Salary – £37,658 to £41,843 dependant on experience

- Pay – £37,658 to £41,843 dependant on experience

What we ask
