Reporting to our Head of Internal Communication, you will be working out of Copenhagen – but your workplace will be the world as you will have daily and close interaction with colleagues everywhere.
In this role, the core of your responsibilities will be centered around leading communication workstreams in strategic projects including acquisitions and integration projects.
You will work in close collaboration with a diverse and dynamic team of colleagues across the globe to drive impactful leadership and change communication.
By working closely with our senior leaders, you will be a key contributor towards engaging our 80,000+ colleagues in conversations about the strategy and transformation of Maersk.
The internal communications team works in a flexible and agile way to support the business and corporate functions where they need us most, and hence every day is different. One day you may be working to support a key change project in the business impacting the wider organisation, while the next day you may be moderating a global townhall or creating the script for a leadership podcast.

You are passionate about leadership and change communication and you are great at crafting appealing messages and turning these into strong narratives, making our current employees and those of newly acquired companies want to come together and contribute to the successful execution of our Global Integrator strategy. You have a structured approach, a digital-first mindset and master the various disciplines of strategic communication. You are an experienced project lead used to working with communication in large projects. You work professionally, diplomatically and persuasively with diverse stakeholders of all levels while also knowing what it takes to capture the interest of an audience, and you are hands-on and persistent in your efforts to get the projects over the finish line in time.
Your experience and background
• Strong business partnering skills as a trusted advisor and strategic producer. Able to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders by listening, advising, and executing at a consistently high level.
• Experienced project lead with a strong leadership communication toolbox capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality output
• A fast study on complex topics, able to work with diverse subject and technical experts and turn their inputs into compelling communication with a strong link to the strategic transformation
• Ideal candidates will be experienced in producing their own work in multiple formats, including virtual town halls, written content, podcast, video etc.
• Master’s degree in communications, business, or other related discipline. Excellent collaboration and relationship skills, ideally with a background in corporate communications with a minimum of 10 years of experience and native or near-native English writing skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 – Teams, Yammer, SharePoint is an advantage

• Independent contributor and self-starter who takes ownership of assignments and sees them to completion with minimal supervision
• A creative flair for storytelling that brings a strategy or story to life, combined with a high personal standard for communications excellence
• Highly resilient to change and with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic atmosphere
• Hands-on, can-do attitude, and willing to propose and try something new
• Complete integrity with sensitive and confidential information
