This role will focus on the creation and development of the DFDS event & theme concept ensuring that we use data driven insights to develop a range of events and themes. These propositions will be brought to market working across the wider commercial and operational passenger business.

We offer a great working place - you will be based in either the Copenhagen or Norwegian office right next to our vessels – with endless possibilities to develop within the job or the DFDS organization. You will be working in an internationally diverse team with colleagues all over Europe.

You will be responsible for developing and executing an attractive and diverse event strategy supporting the Copenhagen / Oslo passenger route, working alongside our identified value proposition, while managing stakeholders’ expectations and ideas. All with the goal to ensure we develop the right event products, based around desired and timed growth personas and commercial opportunities.

In addition to this, you will:

  • Deliver an integrated and concise plan, based on data driven insights.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to define multi-channel strategy and ensure always on and burst activities effectively promote the event range.
  • Work closely with the Events Operations Manager to allow a flawless delivery of the final event product which guarantees all stakeholder and customer expectations are consistently met. Create a robust standardized approach.
  • Develop a loyalty loop process to ensure these amazing customer experiences result in more regular and loyal, higher yielding customers that become socially active DFDS advocates.
  • Monitor and interpret event marketing sales channel performance to hit volume and revenue targets. Ensure profitability.
  • Develop an evaluation process to continually improve the customer experience and promotional effectiveness.
  • Work with the Revenue and Product teams to ensure the budgeted volumes are secured.
  • Confidently launch and kick off events and themes to ensure all stakeholders are captivated and excited to deliver our amazing range of unique experiences for our customers.

Your profile

You are a skilled event marketing professional with 5-year experience across the marketing mix, with well-developed project management and communication skills. If you have knowledge of the travel and/or ferry/cruise/hotel industry it will be appreciated.

  • Marketing or Business degree or professional marketing qualification desirable
  • Knowledge of Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or German Markets would be appreciated (not mandatory)
  • Strong English skills required (Danish and/or Norwegian would be an advantage)

You are a self-starter who proactively takes ownership and manages expectations. It’s important you have willingness for regular travel to other DFDS locations (Oslo-Hamburg, Amsterdam, Newcastle, London and more)
