København

Global change makers are increasingly in need of up to date knowledge and skills to act responsibly and effectively in social change. Your role will be to unlock knowledge exchange within and beyond the rapid growing learning network, Fabo, and communicate the Fabo story, through digital storytelling and design of engaging learning experiences.

The Fabo Initiative is a learning network lead by DanChurchAid. The purpose of Fabo is to empower change-makers, whether individuals or organisations, to participate responsibly and effectively in social change. This empowerment comes from strengthening individual competences, cultivating peer-to-peer learning and supporting primarily civil society organisations (“CSOs”) with effective learning processes, such as customizable learning resources, learning technology, learning design methodologies and cross-organisational collaboration. Fabo is expected to grow from 7 to 30+ CSO members in 2020.

Your role will be to unlock collaboration and knowledge exchange through digital communication and to establish the Fabo communication profile. Sharing of experiences between Fabo members in communities of practice and sharing of learning resources are essential elements of the Fabo initiative. To facilitate this sharing and exchange successfully, you will help us tell the Fabo story and learnings by publishing content in various formats and by enabling others to do so.

You will also work in close collaboration with team colleagues and involved stakeholders to create learning experiences that maximize the outcome for the learner including the right objectives, the relevant content, the most engaging style and media and seeking the right timing. One of your critical roles in the development process is to transform content and concepts into inspiring and engaging written text and videos for the various digital learning and communication materials.

You will be part of Learning Lab in DanChurchAid which is a specialised team of 10 professionals with different fields of expertise and educational backgrounds. Our team is dynamic, ambitious and collaborative. We believe in empowering local change makers with learning design and learning technology. We facilitate this through the Fabo Initiative, the ACTLearn (Fabo sub-community for ACT Alliance members) and within our own organisation (HQ and country offices).

We constantly seek new inspiration and test new methods and technologies to ensure that we deliver high-quality solutions based on innovative thinking and evidence-based analysis. Our ambition is to inspire and facilitate synergies between CSO’s globally and be cutting-edge in efficient and effective learning experiences - communication processes are critical in this regard!

Openness and the ability to embrace and engage in change and feedback processes will be essential for you in a working environment where we are constantly seeking to improve our approaches and engage the end-users in the design processes.

Your main tasks will be to:
  • Identify, create and publish digital stories, news, best practice and new learning opportunities
  • Develop the fabo.org landing page and SoMe channels to communicate the Fabo Initiative/ACTLearn and motivate for engagement by individuals and organisations.
  • Inspire and equip colleagues and Fabo member staff in digital storytelling (in communities of practice)
  • Lead our communication direction for Fabo and develop a communication plan.
  • Lead, design and develop learning experiences in collaboration with colleagues, member organisations and subject matter experts – this includes different types of learning materials and tasks: copywriting, training videos, eLearning, websites, Fabo courses, printed materials, etc.
  • Opportunity to lead a portfolio of Fabo members (contact point).
  • Opportunity to unfold other relevant talents that can move us forward.

You bring with you:
  • 3+ years of proven experience with digital communication, SoMe experience, and copywriting to various digital platforms (attach examples).
  • An educational background in journalism, communication, education or other relevant field.
  • It’s required that you have a high proficiency in especially written English. A working knowledge of Danish, Spanish, Arabic or French will be an advantage (attach written examples of English text you have produced)
  • Strong virtual communication and collaboration skills and ability to navigate in an innovative and ever-changing environment with many stakeholders.
  • A substantial interest in (or experience with) learning design and learning technology.
  • Advantage: Experience with video production (preferably with smartphones), learning management systems, e-learning authoring tools and Adobe software etc.

Contact and application
The place of work will be at DanChurchAid’s headquarters, Meldahlsgade 3, 1613 Copenhagen K, Denmark. Please note that only candidates with a valid work permit for Denmark will be considered. Salary will be based on DanChurchAid´s collective agreement, an attractive pension scheme and insurance scheme will also apply. The work time is 37 hours per week including lunch break. You can expect 1-3 weeks of travel per year. Start date is 1st of March 2020 or before.

It’s a requirement that you upload your application online including: 1) letter of motivation, 2) CV, 3) latest relevant diploma, 4) relevant examples of previous work including various examples of English text you have produced (including statement of your role and if it has been edited by others).
Deadline for application is Sunday the 12th of January 2020. Interviews are expected to take place on 20th and 23th January.
