Your new company
At Goodvalley, we are constantly working to produce food of the highest quality with respect for nature and the environment. We believe it is natural to cultivate our own land in order to produce our own crops. We harvest the crops ourselves and turn them into feed for the pigs, just as we raise our own pigs and process our own meat. This is how we ensure quality – all the way. For us, it makes sense to treat our environment with respect by giving nature back what we borrow and at the same time be CO2-neutral in our work. We believe that Goodvalley’s sustainable method is the best model for producing food.
Your new role
In this position, you will work extensively on further developing and implementing internal communications tools, channels, and other initiatives that share the common goal to advance the Group’s sustainable and commercial objectives via stronger communications coordination and cohesion throughout the four countries where Goodvalley have activities. The countries are Denmark, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. Among the key goals is to make all the employees aware how Goodvalley’s sustainable methods to produce food make an impact of addressing global megatrend challenges including climate change, sustainability, and more. Goodvalley employees at all levels contribute to achieving these goals, and it’s your responsibility to continuously make all colleagues aware and make them feel that they are an important contribution to fulfil the goals, thus the priority on building greater communications cohesion and shared sense of direction across the four countries.
Reporting to CEO and with Head of People & Culture as vocational manager you will be responsible strategically and operationally for developing and implementing a range of internal communications activities and initiatives. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines and countries in generating new content for multiple channels, with a primary initial focus on the information screens on key locations like in cantinas e.g., for which you will be responsible for managing and further developing. As part of the Group function, you will collaborate with colleagues across departments, functions and country borders, to drive employee engagement on internal communications initiatives, such as employee campaigns.
In short, you will play an important role in Goodvalley’s Group-led communications efforts.
What you´ll need to succeed
You have internal communications experience preferably from an international business environment. With your native or near-native English- and preferably Polish and Danish language skills, you are a very strong writer and communicator especially in English. You are curious by nature and have the intellect to seek out and convert new and existing information into clear, coherent, interesting stories for multiple internal purposes, though always with an eye on potential external uses as well. Furthermore, you are “down to earth” and communicate easily with all colleagues, no matter where in the organisation they work e.g., at the feed mill, in the stable or in the administration. It will be an advantage if you have a Polish cultural background hence you will be responsible for all internal communication in Poland, which is the country with most colleagues, and where Goodvalley was established with the first farm in 1994. You must be aware there will be travel in this role mainly to Poland but also to colleagues in Russia and Ukraine.
You enjoy creating interesting and engaging content and developing and exploiting multiple communications channels. You understand what it takes to bind a geographically, culturally, and organisationally diverse company together through effective internal communications. A creative professional, you can work independently, while also engaging collaboratively across disciplines and geographies. You are well-organised and structured, being equally comfortable pursuing longer-term strategic initiatives as well as dealing with evolving priorities in a dynamic environment. Educationally, you might have a university degree in a broadly relevant discipline; the specific educational subject is less important.
