Do you want to make a business impact with strategic communication? Can you turn complex messages into simple and compelling stories? Group Communication & Branding is strengthening the communication in Nordea to improve the reputation across all markets and build strong employee engagement. We are implementing an ambitious communication strategy, and a new organisation and operating model to deliver on the strategy. Now we are taking the next steps and are looking for strong communication specialists – one with focus on advisory and one with focus on editorial skills to support and enable the change journey which Nordea is on.
Your future responsibilities
Communication advisor in Group Corporate Centre (GCC)
You will support one or more management teams in Group Corporate Centre in units consisting of somewhere between 160 to 2.500 employees.
You will take active part in supporting our leaders in becoming engaging and strong communicators. Together with the Head of Communication, GCC you will be driving and delivering the communicative agenda in line with business needs and ensuring that the communication strategy is implemented in the daily activities. You will support getting a communication structure in place, aligned across all group functions and you will both advise and deliver the communication needed for these units. All with the aim to support that our people contribute, grow and enjoy.
Specific tasks for this role:
- Advise managers and management groups on internal and leadership communication, supporting our group agenda and the cascading of messages
- Demonstrate how communications can help build a high-performing function and advance our mission
- Build a group-aligned communication set-up for the managers in the area(s) you support
- Ensure communication is consistent, high level quality and relevant to key stakeholders
Specific competences for this role:
- You have a background in communication and at least 3-5 years of experience in advisory of managers and supporting business areas in communication during change
- A clearly strategic approach to communication that will ensure the right business impact of communication activities
- Operational experience in coordinating and implementing communication supporting business, and communicating complex issues in a simple and engaging manner
- Experience with leadership communication – advisory, training and/or delivering communication for leadership cascading
- You probably see yourself as rather tech savvy and have a genuine interest and understanding of the tech/digital era
Editor for Group Corporate Centre (GCC) channels
You will drive content and Intra channels across GCC, covering approx. 12.000 internal readers, as well as supporting the implementation of tools like Yammer, Teams etc.
In the editor role, you collaborate closely with the units as well as the Content and Channel team in Group Internal & Leadership Communication. You will bring the perspective on editorial content and planning from GCC to the Group and you will implement the Group guidelines into GCC.
You will of course work closely with the Head of Communication, GCC, to align on the overall agenda.
Specific tasks for this role:
- Editor of internal news channels within GCC and driver of the editorial planning and delivery across units
- Produce or edit internal communication deliveries
- Together with Head of Communication, GCC, develop a unit-specific perspective on group messaging, and putting these into the local context
- Collaborate closely with the Group editors and representatives from the unit
Specific competences for this role:
- You have a background in journalism or similar and preferably you have some years of experience with the editor role
- Compelling storytelling and the use of journalistic principles comes natural to you
- Taking a strategic approach towards prioritisation of what we communicate to our employees is a prerequisite for the job
- Fluent in English in both writing and speaking is a must, since English is our corporate language
For both roles
Your main responsibility lies within driving clear and consistent communication to our people in GCC. Besides specifically supporting GCC, you will collaborate with colleagues in Group Communication & Branding, and we welcome you in using your competencies broadly to meet our high ambitions.
You will be working in a high performance, demanding and global environment, while nurturing a network of important stakeholders. You are self-motivated and positive, and can balance short-term needs with long-term strategies, and take the initiative to push forward even when ambiguity.
A background from a large, international corporation is an advantage.
The positions will have a reporting line in Group Internal & Leadership Communication, and a functional reporting line to the Head of Communication, GCC.
