As a senior communication partner to our CFO area, your main task will be ensuring the communication of the Business Partner function area with a special focus on ESG and financial reporting. ESG is at the core of all our actions, and you will play a vital role in making this important communication platform a symbol of our company. This platform will showcase our strategic goals and emphasize our key messages to our most valuable stakeholders.
To achieve this, communication plays a vital part of our business strategy. We have invested in building a global team of communication-savvy specialists who can make a real difference by supporting our leaders and colleagues in delivering on our vision.
To progress, we are looking for an experienced communicator with an extensive toolbox within financial and ESG communication. Someone who masters advising executives, managing projects like our annual report, is enthusiastic about ESG and can produce content that moves people’s perceptions and actions.

You are someone with high business understanding and good comprehension of business strategy across value chains. To progress, we are looking for an experienced communicator with an extensive toolbox within financial and ESG communication. Someone who masters advising executives, managing projects like our annual report, is enthusiastic about ESG and can produce content that moves people’s perceptions and actions.
Furthermore, you can look forward to:
- Work closely with our CFO and management team providing communications advisory and solutions enabling leaders to communicate our strategy in simple and impactful ways.
- Develop our ESG communication, ensuring that internal and external stakeholders clearly understand how COWI contributes to shaping a sustainable world.
- Being a trusted advisor on corporate communications, helping support the executive leadership with both internal and external communication activities, e.g., change communication, presentations, speeches etc.
- Project manage and provide content for the COWI Annual Report, including defining and driving the editorial process, in particular writing the ESG reporting content and translating how COWI steer for value while safeguarding the company.
- Continuous collaboration with different departments, stakeholders, and partners to align business strategies with ESG principles.

To excel in this role, one should carry a constructive perspective, utilize a methodical, objective-centric approach to responsibilities, and prosper in an intricate and varied atmosphere.
On top of that, you have:
- Master’s degree in finance, business, communication, strategy, or similar. with 7 or more years’ experience as a communications professional from listed/large companies or PR agencies, or as a journalist in established media.
- Hands-on communications advisor experience to executives with a proven history of working with CFO communication, especially financial communication internally and externally.
- Deep knowledge about developing annual reports and communication on corporate sustainability issues for listed/non-listed companies, including keeping track on new legislation such as CSRD, DMA and SBTi.
- A skilled, detail-oriented writer adept at transforming complex information into inspiring stories, and at ease working with numbers and data.
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
