Are you passionate about leadership communication and translating strategy into concrete and meaningful actions? Do you have a proven track record of creating results via impactful communication that engages and motivates employees? We’re looking for an experienced people manager and advisor to the SVP and leadership team of a unit in R&D in Novo Nordisk.
About the unit
You’ll be responsible for driving leadership communication and communication around strategic projects in an R&D unit with 1000 employees. The Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Safety area (MARS) is responsible for regulatory approvals of our medicines, patient safety as well as scientific communication. 1/3 of our colleagues are located in Bangalore, India and 2/3 in Søborg and Bagsværd, Denmark. Our projects and activities have global reach and impact across the Novo Nordisk organisation including our more than 100 affiliates.
The position
The Communication Manager is responsible for a small team and will act as communication advisor for the SVP and the leadership team. This includes outlining and executing on plans for how to communicate strategies, changes and projects. Your key contributions being advising and executing on specific tasks such as preparing presentations, making videos, writing articles, and ensuring optimal use of relevant digital channels. You’ll also lead cross-organisational projects, events and changes in the area.
You’ll report to the VP of MARS Strategic Development and be member of the VP-leadership team. As Communication Manager you will also be member of cross organisational communication groups in R&D contributing to the creation of global communication projects and events.
Qualifications
You are an experienced communication advisor to top management, very ambitious on behalf of your profession, and can impact and influence decisions enabling efficient and engaging communication. You have solid business understanding, have worked in a multinational organisation – preferably the pharmaceutical industry. You create followership – both from people reporting to you as well as from internal stakeholders. It is an advantage if you have been a people manager before.
You have a master’s degree in communication, journalism, business management or similar – preferably supplemented with scientific experience - and have minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience.
You are ambitious and dedicated, work independently and structured, and you approach tasks with energy and a positive attitude. The job requires a high level of initiative and innovative thinking as well as strong analytical skills. Experience with Office 365, SharePoint, video production and social media are requirements. All communication is in English and proficiency here is a prerequisite.
