The Big Picture:

Howden is growing and expanding our business, and we are therefore looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager for our site in Næstved, Denmark.

The purpose of the role will be to analyse and interpret our customer’s needs, priorities and their expectations, develop product strategies for our various products, and to support the development of relevant product strategies in close collaboration with product managers.

The role also involves thorough market analysing, and general monitoring of our market share, with a constant focus on picking up trends and tendencies. You will act as the connector and translator between the market and our Sales and Product resources.

What needs to be done?


    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research (VoC, size, trends, competitors, etc.)
    • Assess competitive strengths and weaknesses
    • Provide input to the product strategy
    • Define customer segmentation
    • Lead and develop go-to-market strategies to support new product launches
    • Develop and drive marketing plans
    • Define marketing communication objectives (MarCom framework)
    • Make recommendations with regard to attractiveness, competitive position, value proposition etc.
    • Support development and framing of customer/sales training presentations.
    • Systematically and regularly collects feedback from internal stakeholders - sales teams, service teams, etc. - on clients, markets and competitors
    • Identify, and assist with preparation and provide input to product marketing collateral and other support tools including printed material, presentations, animations, etc.
    • Support and provide input to a lead generation process in collaboration with Sales Managers’
    • Monitor and follow-up on CRM data for designated products in order to have reliable performance indicators e.g
    • Won-Loss (market share), pipeline, etc.



What do you need to bring?


    • A degree in marketing, combined with relevant experience from a similar role
    • Expert practitioner in marketing analytical disciplines
    • Capable of translating market and company data into tangible insights
    • Ability to prepare well-documented analyses and make qualified recommendations to support decision-making
    • Strategic thinking with understanding of business processes/value chains
    • Ability to develop and prepare effective tactical/operational plans and execute these when necessary
    • Agility to learn from marketing analytics and evolve content to meet product success metrics
    • Excellent planning capabilities
    • Experience from markets of energy, cement, steel, mining, tunnel/metro will be an advantage
    • Trouble shooting capabilities with a hands-on mind-set
    • Fluent communicator in English - written and oral
    • Team player exhibiting high integrity, respect for others and is perceived a valued member of a team
    • Maintains a constant focus on delivering quality at a high speed and seeks continuously to improve
    • Expert user of Sales Logix, IIR, Intelligence Plaza (or similar) and other relevant databases
