About the Department
Corporate Strategy is a function in VIKING that works with several strategic disciplines. That involves facilitating the corporate strategy process, supporting business development activities, providing an overview of projects, and supporting the acquisition process. Additionally, the function works as internal consultants in the VIKING group. You will join a small, dedicated, and an energetic team of colleagues, which has a high-level responsibility, exposure, and focus from top management.

The position
As Management Consultant, you will work with many different aspects of Corporate Strategy and Strategic Projects. Examples of job tasks in the position:

• Project Manager on Strategic Projects, i.e. segment strategies / go-to-market models
• Team player in the Corporate Strategy process, i.e. be responsible for workshops and materials
• Lead on internal consultancy jobs, within functional areas; Strategy or Business Development
• Provide strategic insights into M&A processes
• Be a part of the team working with PMO, and provide strategic insights into the process

In this job, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, gain insights into the business, and become a trusted partner to group management, and the line of business. While this position does not have direct people management responsibilities, the leadership of projects through influence and developing followership is critical. The position comes with a flexibility of working from our Headquarter in Esbjerg or Aarhus. If the workplace is Aarhus, then regular visits to Headquarter in Esbjerg will be required. It will be possible to travel with colleagues.

Qualifications
You have an educational background in business, economics, strategy, or similar, at a master's degree level. In the best case, you have a few years of experience in working with strategy development, either from consultancy, venture/investments setting, or from a corporate strategy function.

You thrive in a busy global environment, bring a can-do attitude, and maintain a sense of humor, even when the workload is high. You must also possess analytical skills to make sure decisions are based on data and facts, to the maximum extent possible.
