About the department
Novo Nordisk Consulting is the in-house management consultancy for Novo Nordisk that reports directly to Executive Management. We focus on combining best practices from top-tier management consultancies with the strengths of being an internal consultancy to drive a broad range of high-profile projects across Novo Nordisk’s entire value chain and geographies.
Our projects provide exposure to senior management for all team members and the unit is recognised as one of the main talent incubators in Novo Nordisk with a strong track record for exporting talents to management positions across the organisation. We develop our talents by continuously investing in both personal and professional people development and strive to offer the same steep learning curve as in top-tier consultancies.You will join a young, dynamic team of 25 employees mainly with backgrounds from top-tier consultancies. The aspiration is to grow further, which is supported by a strong buy-in from management.
The position
From day one, you will work as an integrated part of project teams of 2-4 consultants that work directly on-site with clients to solve some of their most difficult problems. Your experienced colleagues will help you learn the consultant’s toolbox and ensure you constantly develop with bi-weekly feedback sessions. On projects, you will be responsible for a specific project component from formulating and testing hypotheses to developing and communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Projects include strategy, organisational development, transformations and process optimisations. You will be exposed to different organisational units throughout Novo Nordisk in Denmark and globally, building a strong international network and further developing your technical and personal skills, guided by our project tools and methodologies. We expect you to be an active part in the continuous development of both the department and Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for has/is:
- A relevant Master's Degree (e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Engineering) with expected graduation in 2020 or recently graduated with outstanding results
- 0-2 years of full-time work experience
- Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly (both verbally and in writing)
- Solid interpersonal skills and motivation to drive change at all levels of the organisation
- Proven to be ambitious, challenge-seeking and result-oriented
A background from student positions in management consulting or a pharmaceutical company is highly regarded but definitely not a prerequisite for this position.
Your potential start date would ideally be in the second half of 2020, but is flexible. Visa sponsorship and other adjustments are available for the right candidate.
