We are looking for a passionate and talented Strategy Manager to join our Executive Office.

As a Strategy Manager you will be part of the Executive Office and will have a unique opportunity to make an impact. The role offers significant professional and personal development opportunities and involves an array of tasks and responsibilities, including helping to drive key initiatives and projects that lead to fulfilling our vision to contribute significantly to research and development that improves people’s lives and the sustainability of society. The role will further involve a broad interaction with other parts of the Novo Group.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports and develops a broad portfolio of projects that benefit society. The topics are wide-ranging and include research, education, innovation as well as humanitarian and social causes. In 2018 the foundation awarded DKK 3.9bn in grants and is today among the largest private foundations in the world. The foundation is growing rapidly, and today employs close to 150 people.

The Job

Working closely with the Strategy Lead in the Executive Office the role will include:

  • Sparring with the Executive Management of the Novo Nordisk Foundation in developing and implementing strategy, and executing key projects
  • Assist on preparing materials for the Board of Directors across the broad portfolio of organizational and grant awarding initiatives
  • Prepare analysis and presentation to and for the Executive Management
  • Drive strategic projects directly with the Heads of departments
  • Collaborate across the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the broader Novo Group, interacting with the foundations investment company Novo Holdings A/S as well as with Novo Nordisk A/S and Novozymes A/S.

The team in the Executive Office believes in empowerment and in growing and learning continuously. We have various backgrounds ranging from life science industry and academia to consulting and corporate finance, and are engaged with a dynamic, value-driven and highly skilled working environment.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • +3 years of experience from consulting or corporate business development
  • Relevant master’s degree in business, finance or other relevant fields, with excellent academic results
  • Well-developed toolbox including structuring and developing data and presentations
  • Experience working on strategy development and implementation
  • Ability to structure large and complex projects and analyses
  • Structured and well organized with a keen eye for quality and details
  • Great ability to manage and interact with senior stakeholders (including Executive management and Board level)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written as well as verbal). Danish is preferred, but not a prerequisite
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office package
  • An interest for the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s vision as well as the grant giving areas and the broader Novo Group
