In our Siteimprove Copenhagen office we now have an exciting opening to come join our legal team on a 12-month maternity cover for our data privacy responsible starting October 2019.
The legal department consists of 6 dedicated people based in USA and Denmark and was founded in 2015. With an average age around 30 years we are in more ways than one a young team where an optimistic can-do attitude and an agile approach to the ever-changing palette of daily tasks is highly appreciated.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to handle most of Siteimprove data privacy compliance for our 7 European offices, including the group HQ in Copenhagen. A substantial part of the job will consist of your review and negotiation of data processing agreements (with customers as well as vendors). Essential functions within this role furthermore include:

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to handle most of Siteimprove data privacy compliance for our 7 European offices, including the group HQ in Copenhagen. A substantial part of the job will consist of your review and negotiation of data processing agreements (with customers as well as vendors). Essential functions within this role furthermore include:
- Coordinate with key stakeholders from across the organization to ensure proper documentation of data flows (e.g., Finance, Customer Support, IT and Information Security).
- Devise practical, business-oriented solutions that will mitigate data privacy risks to levels acceptable to management
- Maintain and update various legal templates for the European markets
- Attend meetings, conferences, and other company functions, as necessary
What We Require of You
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Master’s degree within Law (LL.M., Cand.jur, Cand.merc.jur or equivalent).
- Excellent understanding of commercial issues
- Strong collaboration skills and easily form relations in a multicultural environment
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, agile working environment with quick turnaround times
What We'll Love About You
- 2 years of relevant experience working with data privacy
- Previous experience in a service-oriented environment with a strong customer service focus
- Interested in and comfortable with technical discussions of software and technology
- Familiarity with details of information security and its application in the business environment
