The SDU Chemical Engineering section under the department of Green Technology are looking for a student assistance to support activities in metal extraction. The positions is available for occupation from 01 april 2021.
The main tasks of the parttime job include the following tasks:
We are seeking a candidate who is:
• highly motivated, self-driven, with relevant study background and
practical experience
• problem solving (solution) oriented, good listener and fast learner
• honest, efficient, hardworking and disciplined
The candidate should have a proven record of lab work experience and good communication skills in English: oral, listening and written

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant or Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU.
Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).

- Prepare and clean up samples, liquid and setup for extraction studies according to instruction
- Operation of extraction reactors, strictly following reaction conditions according to design
- Monitor extraction progress and document reaction parameters
- Determine metal content in liquid or solid with corresponding analytical techniques, e.g. AAS, XRF or UV-vis
- Register experimental data and implement updates according to instruction
