Actuarial Consultant with focus on Defined Benefit Pensions
We are recruiting for an exciting and developing role as Actuarial Consultant that wants to focus on Defined Benefit (DB) Pension on behalf of Deloitte Denmark. In this role you gain an opportunity to specialize in and further develop an already successful business area where Deloitte has positioned their advice and solutions as top of the class.
The role operates across the Nordic region and collaborates with highly specialized and experienced colleagues across Deloitte internationally and you get the opportunity to dive further into the DB Pensions area and manage and develop an attractive customer portfolio.
You will work out of Deloitte’s Danish head office in Copenhagen, where you will become part of an extremely specialized and highly competent professional environment. The team, Actuarial, Risk & Advanced Analytics (ARAA) represents a strong and diverse team where you can develop professionally, expand your knowledge and advance over time.
Extrovert specialist role where you contribute to setting the direction and quality level for DB Pensions across the Nordics
You will fulfill a specialist role with specialist responsibilities and a business scope where you will be involved in all elements of our DB Pensions services. In your work, you will collaborate closely with our DB Pensions manager Erik Scheel and the rest of the ARAA team, our audit teams and DB Pensions specialists across the Nordics and internationally with Deloitte Nordics’ most important audit and advisory clients. In your interaction with your clients, you will be the subject matter expert, and your advice and knowledge will make a difference.
Some of your tasks as Actuarial Consultant will include:
Internationally qualified actuary with practical experience and a business mindset
You are an actuary with 1-3 years of experience. Preferably you have worked with consulting, audit, and/or the Pension and Insurance industry with a distinct motivation to make a difference and create value within your specialist area.
You are used to or curious about participating in qualified discussions with your stakeholders, where you analyze contexts, propose solutions, and ensure that the solutions create value for your customers. We expect your skills and experience to include the following:

Some of your tasks as Actuarial Consultant will include:
- Supporting the Global Actuary role for several large Nordic companies with subsidiaries worldwide.
- Valuation of defined benefit plans for several large Nordic companies with subsidiaries worldwide as well as Nordic subsidiaries of international companies.
- Participation in M&A transactions involving Nordic companies that are either owners or subsidiaries of international companies.
- Development of the DB Pensions services in Deloitte Nordics.
- Advice on assumptions etc., to DB Pensions customers.
Internationally qualified actuary with practical experience and a business mindset
You are an actuary with 1-3 years of experience. Preferably you have worked with consulting, audit, and/or the Pension and Insurance industry with a distinct motivation to make a difference and create value within your specialist area.
You are used to or curious about participating in qualified discussions with your stakeholders, where you analyze contexts, propose solutions, and ensure that the solutions create value for your customers. We expect your skills and experience to include the following:
- An internationally qualified actuarial education or similar and preferably with practical experience from the consulting and/or the Pension and Insurance industry.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to satisfy customers, ie. not only finding the problems but also the solutions.
- Focused, process-oriented and with an eye for detail.
- Drive and willingness to take on unexpected tasks as part of a strong, ambitious, collaborative team.
- Fluent in English – Scandinavian language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.
