Georg Jensen is looking for an experienced and driven Product Designer to join the Design & Product Development Team. You will report directly to the Creative Director and the position is located at the HQ in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen close to metro and bus. The team consists of 7 colleagues working to develop new products and re-think design for already existing products.
Georg Jensen has a leading market position in the high-end Jewellery market and premium Home Product market with distribution to the best retailers in the market. We strive to protect our strong brand position to ensure our customers continue to be inspired by Georg Jensen products.

The role
The Product Designer is responsible for design of Home, Silver and Seasonal products under the supervision of the Creative Director. The position entails designing in-house collections (new and extensions of existing collections) while supporting external designers in the design process throughout the design phase.

The role
The Product Designer is responsible for design of Home, Silver and Seasonal products under the supervision of the Creative Director. The position entails designing in-house collections (new and extensions of existing collections) while supporting external designers in the design process throughout the design phase.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Translate product marketing briefings into design concepts in line with Georg Jensen’s design language
- Translate selected design concepts into 2D/3D designs per Sku in quality and time based on the product marketing briefing and the master planning
- Hand designs over to product development in the required format
- Assess and approve samples for production on a design level
- Brief the external designers together with the creative director
- Guide and follow-up on evolution of the design work
- Support external designers in translating designs into Georg Jensen’s design language
- Manage the design process timeline and ensure that the final design is delivered on time
- Hand designs over to product development in the required format
- Maintenance of design tools (e.g., 3D printer)
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate has 5 years + experience in a similar position preferably within the same industry. Educational background from product design is preferable.
The ideal candidate has the following competences:
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe, Rhino, Solid works and/or similar design tools
- Excellent communication and relational skills
- Excellent eye for aesthetic
- Meticulous and diligent with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends
- Strive to increase productivity, complete tasks correctly and on time
- Ambitious & self-driven
- Passionate about adding value to the business
- Ability to think innovatively and solution-oriented
- Strong team player with a service minded attitude as well as being able to work independently in own area of responsibilities
- Business proficiency in English and Danish with strong communication skills
