ORCHESTRA AUDITION
Clarinet with bass clarinet (French system)
On Monday April 29 and Tuesday April 30, 2024, an audition will be held for a vacant position as clarinetist with bass clarinet in The Royal Danish Orchestra.
The vacancy is to be filled as per August 2024 according to agreement.
The audition repertoire
Pre-audition:
1st movement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto kv. 622.
Audition:
1st round: 1st movement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto kv. 622 and an orchestral excerpt for bass clarinet.
2nd round: Debussy: Première Rhapsodie and Saint-Saëns: 1st movement of Sonata for clarinet and piano op. 167 played on the bass clarinet. From beginning to (2).
3rd round: Orchestral excerpts played on clarinet and bass clarinet.
Please note: French system.

Invitation
All applicants will be invited to either pre-audition og audition. A number of applicants will be invites to the audition on Tuesday April 30, 2024 based on CVs, while all other applicants will be invites to the pre-audition on Monday April 30, 2024.
Applicants will be notified via email sent on April 5, 2024, whether they have been invited to the pre-audition or the audition. Detailed information about the planning of the pre-audition and audition will be included in that email.
Recruitment will take place under the Joint Agreement for the Royal Theatre on-extensive artistic staff and the Protocol to the mutual agreement of Kapelmusikere between the Royal Theatre and CO 10 and local agreements between the Royal Theatre and the Danish Musician’s Union.
The first year of employment is on a trial basis and may be cancelled subject to one month's mutual notice.
For applicants outside the EU countries, it is a precondition that at the time of employment the applicant has arranged for work- and residence permit in Denmark.
