Are you interested in thematic areas around learning, advocacy, project work and community engagement? Would you like to be part of an international humanitarian and development organisation working for and with those that are affected by poverty around the world? Learning Lab is the perfect place for you! You will become part of an innovative and dynamic team of 10 colleagues who are excited about the creation and promotion of learning.
Learning Lab hosts the global learning community, Fabo, which counts 30 member organisations around the world (you can read more on fabo.org). You will get a unique opportunity to assist and collaborate with other national and international humanitarian and development organisations.

  • Taking on the role of Assistant to the ACT Advocacy Academy. The Advocacy Academy is a four-month blended learning training that runs from September to December. The main objective is to upskill staff of the ACT Alliance’s member organisations and partners in various advocacy topics and provide them with concrete advocacy tools. As our future intern, you will have a central role in planning this year’s cycle of the Academy, as well as participating in all lectures and providing participants with technical and practical help.   • Project assistance related to learning activities: Research, development, quality assurance, reporting, copy writing and learning administration.
  • Assist with planning and execution of our Fabo community events, which come in varying forms and are carried out digitally.
  • Turning different types of content into guides and templates for the Fabo community.
  • Assistance to and collaboration with Fabo members and the Fabo Community in general
  • Other administrative assignments and ad hoc tasks.
  • If you have any other relevant competences, we are very open to get those into play as well.

  • You are currently enrolled in a relevant study programme (International Relations, Communications, Sociology, Education/ Learning, or similar) that provides you with competences and abilities enabling you to take on the above tasks. Knowledge or experience with learning or communication is an advantage.
  • You possess the ability to work comfortably with written and spoken English (our primary working language is English). Proficiency in Spanish, Arabic or French is an advantage.
  • You have a high level of digital literacy and even an eye for graphics. We have a “blended approach” to learning and the use of technology and digital solutions are highly integrated into our work.

    Expected start date is late August or early September. The duration of the internship is about 5 months (to be agreed).

    The place of work will be at our head office in Meldahlsgade, Copenhagen.
    To be eligible for the internship, it is essential that you are undertaking studies and have a valid residence permit or the right to work in Denmark.
    The internship is unpaid, but free lunch and a work laptop will be provided. You will also be guaranteed a lot of valuable experience.
