Quality Control Supervisor

Position responsible for overseeing that all receiving materials, manufacturing processes and cigar boxes dispatching; as well as machine cigar production and tobacco quality comply with the company standards. Ensure that tobacco processes and inspection of finished products meet also the required quality standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Validate specifications of the cigars and machine packed cigars.
• Control the production and packaging processes assisted by quality inspectors.
• Register cigar inspection reports.
• Verify that all the procedures and quality criteria for the reception of materials; production process of machine-made cigars and packaging activities are in accordance with quality procedures.
• Verify that all dispatching procedures for finished products are made according to the company standard.
• Prepare analysis of quality performance information per area to identify defects
• Follow up quality control forms filled by inspectors, same as handling of sample products.
• Follow up quality problems reported by inspectors and the production department by using root cause analysis to find its solutions.
• Monthly reviews meetings with supervisors and management to review quality results.
• Work with new product prototypes and validate any material changes in existing products.

To Success On The Role:

• Bachelor Degree - Industrial Engineering or career related.

• Minimum One year experience in Quality or similar functions
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office.
• English language skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standard.
• Interpersonal and management skills.
• Continuous improvement of processes oriented.
