About the department
Your department, Material ManDev, consists of 50 employees, located in Hillerød. You will join our Analytical support team, which is responsible for the implementation of identification methods for raw materials and excipients at all Novo Nordisk sites. We cooperate with a variety of functions, including development, Warehouses, Quality Control and Quality Assurance as well as Novo Nordisk sites all over the world.
The job
You will work closely with the chemists and laboratory technicians in the department to secure timely implementation of new analytical methods and new equipment.
Your primary focus will be spectroscopic analyses (primarily NIR and chemometrics) however a broad understanding of analytical methods is an advantage. You will among other things be responsible of method development and validation, transfer of analytical procedures, qualification of new equipment, handling of change requests and maintenance of existing methods and procedures. A high GMP and compliance mind-set is required. In general, the assignments carried out by the department are diverse as we deliver to various parts of Novo Nordisk. This gives a variety of analytical challenges and strong collaboration with your colleagues is therefore an essential key to success.
Qualifications
You hold a Master Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences combined with at least a couple of years of experience. Practical and theoretical experience within spectroscopy will be required.
Candidates with in-depth knowledge of chemometric methods for Near Infrared analysis will be preferred. Knowledge of computerized laboratory equipment and handling of electronic raw data will be an advantage. It is important that you have an interest in using spectroscopic knowledge in a GMP environment.
As a person you take pride in developing state of the art analytical solutions and it is essential that you provide support to the end users during the project implementation and handover. You enjoy working in project groups and have a high level of energy to drive yourself and your colleagues forward to deliver on milestones. You will be part of a team where ideas, problems and solutions are discussed in an open and positive and forthcoming atmosphere. Lastly, you must be fluent in written and spoken Danish and English.
