Drive Scientific Affairs activities for some of LEO Pharma’s best-performing brands
You will become a part of Region INTERNATIONAL, one of three business critical regions in LEO Pharma. Together with other Scientific Affairs Manager(s) you will share the global responsibilities for some of LEO Pharma’s well-established brands and regional responsibilities for selected future products marketed in Region International.
You will develop the global Scientific Affairs programs and activities and at the same time work closely with our regional markets, while meeting with Medical Thought Leaders (MTL) at regional advisory boards and gaining hands-on insights on local patient needs and therapeutic practices. You will ensure that these insights are incorporated into the Global and Regional Strategies, Operation Plans and Life Cycle Management activities. You will prioritize activities and resources for your portfolio and facilitate the development of tools for the markets.
Your primary tasks will be to
Drive the development of strategy and tactical plans for the relevant therapeutic areas together with Marketing counterparts and develop the annual plans for scientific affairs activities, Provide input for the regional and national strategic and operational plans for the relevant franchises, Be a subject matter expert in relevant therapeutic areas, Build advocacy for LEO Pharma’s products with regional and global MTLs, Develop the medical communications and training materials, Ensure compliant conduct of interactions with HCPs and accuracy of communicated medical information, Provide medical input to regulatory, market access and PV inquiries.
You will report to the Scientific Affairs Director of Region International, and be based at the LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen. You can expect to travel approx. 30 days a year in order to meet with colleagues and HCPs across the region.
Scientific Affairs professional with good business acumen and high sensitivity to cultural diversity
You are a professional in the bio-medical field with good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. You are driven by both analysing medical data and digging into the doctors and patients’ minds in order to understand what this medical data means to those with medical needs. You have an overall understanding of clinical trials conduct, development of medical publications and are familiar with the compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
You are attentive to details to see the factual errors and inconsistency in data interpretation. At the same time you are creative to look at the data from a new angle and make the medical audience galvanized by presentation of this data. By thinking out-of-the-box and balancing the big picture with details, you are capable of transforming insights into impactful strategies and supportive tactics, while exploiting synergies and respecting market differences.
Formal requirements
A University or Science Degree in bio-medical field, MD is a plus but not required Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry Fluency in English (business/ negotiation level)
You have a well-developed cultural flair, and are seasoned in building and maintaining productive partnerships across borders and functions. You transmit your personal enthusiasm to people around you to ensure deliveries according to plans and deadlines. To succeed it is vital that you take on responsibility and follow-through on your projects with passion and ambition. As your stakeholders are all working in different time zones you understand that the best time to meet is not always 9-5.
