We are looking for a highly experienced chemistry technician with small molecule expertise and a strong commitment to drive the synthesis of tomorrow’s medicine. You will join our highly skilled organic chemistry team and together your competencies are crucial to our drug research projects, in our quest for identifying innovative treatments for people suffering from skin diseases.
You will have a great opportunity to grow your synthetic skills and impact our projects through your desire to make novel compounds. The position will allow you to influence our future chemistry platform through close collaboration with our chemistry community.
As our new experienced technician, you will:
The position will be based in one of our MedChem departments within our Drug Design area, which consist of 3 departments all together: 2 MedChem departments and Early ADME.
In our Medicinal Chemistry teams we offer unique challenges for professional and scientific development in state-of-the-art drug discovery facilities, an informal working environment and the chance to integrate into a dynamic team of experienced and enthusiastic drug hunters.
The ideal candidate has a proven track recorded in developing organic chemistry strategies and executing synthesis campaigns in a drug discovery setting. Flair for parallel synthesis is an advantage and 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a favoured background.

Challenging position
As our new experienced technician, you will:
- Challenge and motivate organic chemistry strategies within our projects.
- Take active part in the discovery of novel therapeutic molecules as a member of a MedChem chemistry team.
- Through dedicated lab work play a key role in progressing synthetic chemistry activities according to goals and milestones and encourage focus, motivation and optimal interaction within the team.
- Significantly contribute to development of our in-house small-molecule synthetic capabilities.

Your profile
The ideal candidate has a proven track recorded in developing organic chemistry strategies and executing synthesis campaigns in a drug discovery setting. Flair for parallel synthesis is an advantage and 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a favoured background.
Furthermore, you must possess:
- Experience in tackling complex, multi-step organic chemistry campaigns.
- Good interdisciplinary team working skills and the ability to inspire and motivate, with a goal oriented and flexible mind-set.
- The desire and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines in Drug Design.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
