We are recruiting a Senior Medical Advisor to join the Global Medical Affairs team responsible for a biologic treatment for psoriasis

The job
You assume a vital position and responsibility as the medical subject matter expert ensuring high level of scientific & therapeutic area acumen across the organization, that will drive a customized and differentiating approach to data communication and generation in support of the commercial brand strategy.
You inspire and motivate people with different backgrounds by proactively building effective working relationships and network connections throughout the organization.

You have a balanced understanding of the sense for urgency and priority setting – coupled with a pragmatic sensibility and flair for fun when appropriate. The job
You assume a vital position and responsibility as the medical subject matter expert ensuring high level of scientific & therapeutic area acumen across the organization, that will drive a customized and differentiating approach to data communication and generation in support of the commercial brand strategy.
- Provide medical input to the Brand Strategy Board, Market Access and External Engagement
- Engage with affiliate medical colleagues through the Global Medical Affairs Strategy Team (GMAST) to anticipate and identify changes in the health care environment and areas of strategic interest within the countries, so as to address these through the Medical Affairs Plan and key medical deliverables/tactics
- Identify medical education gaps and continue the development of medical training and engagement programs that are validated in partnership with key external experts
- Support the appropriate levels of expertise required to enable competitively differentiating operational excellence of field medical functions
- Key responsibility for medical guidance for affiliate medical teams
- Foster genuine peer medical engagement with global and national key external experts and professional societies that require a high level of expertise, experience and ability to navigate in complex collaboration projects
- Plan and track development of relationships with global KOLs, including expanding relationships to relevant upcoming KOLs to maintain and grow a sustainable engagement plan
- Provide market oriented medical input to trial design and protocol development of RWE initiatives (incl. NIS and IIS proposals)
- Medical expert in the Publication Team
- Role-model performance culture and leadership through cross-functional and external orientation, partnering within the Brand Team and key stakeholders in the Affiliates

Your qualifications
- Medical Doctor, PharmD or other advanced life-sciences background
- Substantial medical affairs experience or clinical development experience with deep understanding of medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within dermatology
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development and product lifecycle commercialization
- Knowledge and advanced understanding of other functions including but not limited to Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Market Access and Commercial
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic business acumen and anticipation of industry trends
- Ability to translate science into clinical patient value and business relevant initiatives
- Strong communication skills, ability to analyze and articulate complex subjects with clarity and ease to multiple stakeholders with different interests and needs
- Comfortable working within complex and changing environments
- Ability to lead without formal authority based on strong emotional intelligence, integrity, business acumen, humility, respect and transparency
- Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written English
