Analytical Scientist with spectroscopy and chemometrics skills to Biopharm Analytical Manufacturing Development

Do you want to develop spectroscopic methods for QC and production? Are you exited about the possibility to drive changes and introduce new technology? Are you interested in modelling of data? In Biopharm Analytical MDev in Novo Nordisk in Gentofte we are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative new colleague to develop and validate new spectroscopic analysis including predictive databased models.

The department

In Biopharm Analytical MDev we validate and optimise analytical methods for new products within e.g. haemophilia and growth hormone. Furthermore, we support the chemical QC laboratories in Biopharm on tasks that create more productivity. Working with various kinds of tasks and professional challenges we use our professional skills combined with systematic problem solving. We have innovation in focus, and we implement new technology continuously. We are 44 employees in the department, organized in three teams and a staff function that takes care of activities across the department. In the department we have a good and informal atmosphere, a good work-life balance and sharing of knowledge across teams and professions.

The position

You will be part of the group of chemists in the team with responsibility for transfer, optimization and validation of analytical methods to be used in QC or production for new products according to current regulatory requirements.

In your role you will focus on the development and validation of in-line/at-line methods and data models, and the evaluation of new technology to support API production, Continuous GMP Manufacturing and Real Time Release Testing (RTRT). This is a new field of technology in the team and you will to a wide extend have to drive changes and define your own tasks and be a frontrunner in our organization. You will have contact to a lot of colleagues outside the team and will be in close dialogue with the development departments, Biopharm QC and Quality Assurance (QA). All in all, it is a challenging job that requires energy, drive, flexibility and good collaboration skills.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree within Pharmacy, Chemistry or a similar field.

You possess strong competencies with use and application of Raman, NIR, Mid-IR or other measurement techniques that are suitable for in-line/at-line measurements or Real Time Release

You have knowledge and understanding of chemometrics and modelling of data.

You have hands-on experience with method development.

Knowledge of ELISA, clotting assays, SPR, CE-SDS, HPLC and/or iCIEF methods is an advantage

You thrive in a busy environment with an unpredictable work day where you are faced with challenging issues and on the other hand must adjust small details.

You never compromise on quality and at the same time you are good at completing your tasks in time and move on to new tasks with energy and enthusiasm.

You are a team player – openminded, engaged and able to inspire and motivate your colleagues. We expect you to possess good communication skills in both oral and written English and Danish.
