The position
Do you want to work as LC-MS/MS laboratory technician within the field of allergy research?
We are looking for a laboratory technician who will be part of ALK's Global Research. The position is in Department of Biotechnology in the team of Analytical sciences.
The team is dedicated to characterize and evaluate drugability of early lead candidates, such as natural and recombinant allergens/proteins, peptides and small molecules. Lead candidates are characterized by utilizing a number of methods covering both general protein-chemical methods and more specialized analytical tools (Mass spectrometry, HPLC, DLS, Circular Dichroism, Octet etc.)
The primary focus area of this job opening will be mass spectrometry to support our drug discovery projects and exploration of new methods and platforms suitable for CMC development.
In Global Research, we work across departments in project teams based on competence and experience. Global Research is a global organization that contributes to translational research, drug discovery and Clinical and CMC development projects. We work enthusiastically, are engaged in our daily work and have an informal working atmosphere.

Fields of responsibility
- Plan, execute and report experimental work in collaboration with a scientist
- Develop, design and optimize mass spectrometry analysis
- Handle and report experimental data in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)
- Manage experimental data
- Write procedures
- Participate in the general operation and maintenance of the laboratory stocks, facilities and equipment
- Contribute to a positive, motivating and productive working atmosphere in accordance with ALK values
Your qualifications
- We expect you to hold a degree as laboratory technician or similar within protein chemistry
- Good hands-on skills and analytical instrumentations skills are essential
- Knowledge within HPLC and mass spectrometry is an advantage
- Hands-on experience within characterization of proteins could be an advantage
- Communicate in English both in writing and orally
- Experience with word and excel
- Should be able to work individually as well as in teams
- Have a positive and curious mindset
- Have ability to work in an environment where priorities often change
